Some may have the believe that in some way or another, there may be a major even in which our normal lives will change for worse. They prepare for the worst by self reliance, acquiring knowledge and skills and ready themselves for tough situations.
Some may want to restore part of the past - skills and knowledge which can only be defined as the art of manliness. Something which may slowly be disappearing.
Some may be what they call the 'bushmen'. The modern bushman is somewhat a myth seeing as their skills are often to badass to be believable.
You dont have to be an expert. The willingness to share and learn is enough.
