would it be possible instead of bayonets to have the soldiers have swords (thats easy) that look like shovels (harder) ? I'm asking because trench fight was not so much bayonet than very sharp shovel fight (read that in a great book : Im Westen nichts Neues //All Quiet on the Western Front) it would be lots of fun
Proper Generals and Kings/Tsars/Kaisers/Emperors etc.., and Colonol Bogey's March as the main menu/load music , pretty much everything else such as startpos and colonial legions have already been posted, I also like the idea of spade type things as the melee weapon
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...49267&page=323 Well i hope i redid the quicklime to be more gasey, find the files here.
I dont know if you guys could make use of a 42cm battery, make it expensive!
Or even make special sniper units for each faction, they could really stop an advance if well hidden.
And finally another tank idea this is a Germanys first wawr used tank called the Maus, I hope this helped guys, Cheers and great job.
sry bout the extra quotes my comp is acting up
I mentioned this in the main thread, but what about tying field fortifications to technology, so that you're kind of forced into an early-war style meat-grinder until you put enough money and time into a doctrine that focuses on a defensive posture? For instance, you could use the Barracks upgrade tree, with side perks of, for instance: level 1 - Fox holes level 2 - Wire level 3 - Trenches Oh, and any chance of also increasing the width of a length of trenches...oh, and maybe also making it so that your infantry can actually be strung out only 2-4 men deep, so you can fit them in thoes trenches without the fortifications seeming like fortified shell holes. Speaking of which! What about making craters a permanent scar on the landscape during a battle, like bodies currently are?
just about the craters, thats the game that decides if your computer can withstand all the craters, whatever the setting is, so I don't think that leaving them is possible
Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but what about the generals? I wanna kill Falkenhein and Petain
I'm sure this has been mentioned before in fact I believe I read it in the thread but a faction like the United States that can act as liberators? Perhaps implementing some things from ETW, maybe make the US an emergent faction on the European map by giving them a small settlement on the European coast that could act as a base, and a large army that appears that could do some serious damage. These two things would appear the date the US entered the war, and make sure they are highly aggressive I'm assuming this is probably ridiculously hard, but its just an idea I know the RTR guys did it for Macedonia in FOE but that was on the RTW engine, not sure if it can work on the NTW engine, because on RTW it was a "horde"
