I should really play as Carthage in RS2, they have a lot of info on their senate there, roles and positions etc. IC: ____ Bomilkar (see what I mean, no titles) stands to speak. "Of course, those materials would be of great benefit to Carthage. What nation would we be if we denied trade? We accept, and wait eagerly for you to set up your port. Now, do you have any other matters to bring before us?"
Ambassador Eileen returns to the magnificent trading city of Qart-hadasht. After bowing to the Senate and Shophet Bomilkar she says, “I have heard that the Brutish Romans have attacked your lands in Sicily for no good reason. Would the Carthaginian Republic wish to form an Alliance with the Celtic Confederation of Gauls in Gaul? We are already at war with the Roman scum and it only makes sense that we should work together to defend ourselves from their aggression.” OOC: It would be Shophet Bomilkar. Shophet means “Supreme Judge” and they acted like Roman Consuls for Carthage in that they were the commanders of the mercenary armies.
Shophet Bomilkar agrees to a military alliance, questions why he is up so late, and resolves to close the laptop and go to sleep after posting this reply.
A Brutii ambassador arrives at Carthage. After making the neccessary courtisies, he presents an offer to the Carthaginian senate. 'We do not wish to have to destroy Carthage. Yours is a noble and ancient city, much like Rome. We instead propose a limited war, and the objective will be Sicily. Whoever owns the majority of the island in 5 years (10 turns) will be declared the victor. There will be no invasion of each other's home territories. Is this an interesting offer?'
