Welcome! The Royal Palace at New Bukephala welcomes dignitaries from all over the world! The Queendom of Greater Gandhara The Queendom was founded by a group of Indian Amazons (Viranganas) who overthrew the ruling patriarchal dynasty in their land in western India. Looking to the Gandharans for relations and guidance, they entered into a thriving relationship with them to the extent that the Queendom came to be known as Greater Gandhara. The capital is called New Bukephala. The governance has dispensed with hereditary monarchy. The Council of Wise comprised of women (Elders) choose two young female warriors to become the two Queens thus dyarchy has become the system of rule. Currently, the two Queens are Varahika and Huvishka, a Virangana and a Scythian Amazon respectively. Varahika is credited with creating a series of special formations of units, the most famed and the most dangerous being the Axewomen led by Gen Avantika the Amazon
The Supreme Queen of Amazonia, Hippolyta XXIII, has received a dream from the goddesses. They tell her that a long-lost expedition to the east successfully established an Amazonian colony in India. Fascinated, she summons Ambassador Aello Helianthus Flirtonas to the Queen’s Palace and tells her to get packing. “Diplomatic relations must be established with our fellow sisters in the far east,” she says. Aello sets off with her assistant and seven guards. They ride through Armenia and Persia and reach India after a two month journey. The Amazons walk through the gates of New Bukephala and admire the grand city. “Greetings from your motherland, the Queendom of Amazonia!” Ambassador Aello says will waving a hand to everyone and giggling. “May we be granted an audience with your Queen?” she asks some guards when they reach the Royal Palace. Her assistant, Agathon, informs her that Gandhara has two queens who share power equally. “Oh… Hey! That’s almost like how it is in Amazonia! And I’ll bet they’re lovers too! Wonderful! I can’t wait to see the beautiful couple!” Ambassador Aello dismounts from her horse with a wide smile.
I offer trade if you would accept (a ship full of grain, we overproduced this year and we can't have the people become FAT)
Trade accepted with the Ayyubids. We also offer an alliance. @LoC- Ambassador Aello and her retinue is given the customary Amazon welcome. "Welcome, dearest sisters! this day has been much awaited!", says Foreign Minister Jeevika. Queen Huvishka has left on an expedition. But Queen Varahika will love to see you. but before that....." she snaps her fingers and servants run in. What follows are big rounds of traditional Amazonic hospitality and the Amazonian delegation find themselves in the middle of traditional enjoyments...hope thay find it refreshing after their long journey!

What follows are big rounds of traditional Amazonian hospitality and the Amazonian delegation find themselves in the middle of traditional enjoyments... hope they find it refreshing after their long journey! Aello is about to indulge in all the food and games when a messenger bursts in, runs over, and whispers to her. The ambassador’s face then gets serious. “Actually, let’s get down to business,” the Amazon gives a little smile. “I want to say, in the sincerest way possible, that Gandhara should… um… oh, hell: STOP offering trade and alliances with everyone!!!” She throws her hands up and tugs furiously at her hair. The messenger then informs her that it is too late; Gandharan diplomats went to every single major nation in the world with the same offers. She sighs and drops her hands down. “Oh… well that’s that.” Aello begins to breathe heavily, trying to keep calm. “This begs the question: how serious is the queendom? About all these alliances? I mean… most of them are probably going to make war against each other. Who are you going to stick with when that happens?” She accepts a glass of wine and drains it quickly. “First thing’s first: trade agreements. The motherland offers you powerful composite bows, arrows blessed by Artemis to go with them, and cosmetics to eliminate aging. In exchange we would like ivory, spices, and coffee. Would this be acceptable, Minister?” Her assistant, Agathon gets a scroll and pen ready.
"Absolutely," smiles Jeevika."Anything blessed by Artemis Herself is always welcome." Her smile broadens and she continues,"The Queendom is very serious about all its alliances. Its all part of Gandharan diplomacy. We know what to do when war breaks out, be rest assured."
Sure we accept the alliance

You have allied with the Spaniards and Germans and… the Ayyubids! Muslims! You have allied with Muslims!” Aello places her hands on her hips, and stares with a frown at Jeevika. “This is unacceptable. I don't think I like Gandharan diplomacy. Amazonia unfortunately cannot ally with Gandhara at this time. Perhaps sometime in the future when most of your ‘alliances’ have fallen into tatters will we think you worthy to fight alongside and promote the general good of female dominance. Sorry, but I cannot be ‘rest assured’ of anything you do.” Agathon finishes writing down the agreed upon trade rights and rolls up the scroll. Aello bows to the Gandharan representative and says, “I will take my leave now, fellow sister.” The Amazonian ambassador and her entourage walk back to their horses. She mounts her horse, looks behind and grins, “You will always be welcomed at Amazonia. We would be pleased to host a state visit with your queens. Farewell.”
Jeevika smiles at the Ambassador. "We do not mind allying with men including people of a different faith, as long as they respect and support us, our way of life and claims. If we make enemies out of everyone just because of our beliefs, they will all unite against us and not with us. They also have to see and understand that dominant females are as much part of this world as they are. If that can be achieved peacefully and with understanding, then good enough. Otherwise we always look forward to war. They must understand that we all need to coexist." "you will always be welcome sister, as would any of our fellow sisters from your land."
“Let them come!” the Amazonian declares. “Coexist? Ha! We will not coexist with lesser beings, such as arrogant men who believe in an ‘omnipotent’ god. Amazonia will never be friendly with patriarchies! Amazonia has always been an isolated land that has kept to herself for centuries. Why change that when the people of the world haven’t changed?” Aello slaps her stallion and she and her entourage begin their journey back to the Motherland. OOC: Jeevika sure smiles a lot… I wonder if she has any other facial expressions? And my ambassador has left, so further communication will have to be through a Gandharan diplomat in my thread.
That's what they all do in the Foreign Service......smile.
Your majesties, the Kingdom of France has accepted your offer of an alliance.
Lovely. Please convey our thanks.
A diplomat appears in the courts of the Queens. "I hail from the Papal States, I wish to see your leader." The man is simply dressed, a plain shirt and a overcoat. As he is lead from the gates to the palace. "We admire your society, and ethics, I see you are currently a Major Power in a the East, and we hope we can come to an agreement." "Our nation is a flower awaiting blossom, we hope with the help of Gandhara, we will not be tread on. I propose a mutual alliance and and a Trade Agreements. We honor your culture and eye your majesty, I believe this agreement will be beneficial for both of us, in such hostile land."
The atmosphere in the courtroom has become tense. A messenger of the Pope! The Priestesses of the various goddesses and gods of the Olympian Pantheon stare at the diplomat, hate clear in their eyes. Only their religious training prevents them from being uncivil, and not treating a guest with dishonour. "We welcome you, for we treat all our guests honourably. It is indeed a good thing that your leader has noticed us." The sarcasm plays on Queen Varahika's face as she utters the word "noticed". "We are also for peace, as you may have judged from the number of our alliances. Our attitude towards you is mainly based on our antagonistic religious beliefs and other reasons can change depending on political circumstances. As of now, we suggest that you continue with your peaceful efforts. We appreciate your last declaration of gifting lands to our allies. We have to await the reply of our Amazon sisters. if they agree, so do we. Your leader must also promise that there will be no Catholic preaching here. Your ambassador may only stay here in a political capacity. If he or any other embassy staff indulges in work of a religious nature.......well, our laws for going against the accepted religions sanctioned for our lands are extremely severe.... "She stops. "We would also prefer a female ambassador, and an all-female embassy staff."
The Diplomat camps outside and watches the world tick, he enters the Palace after the fall of Amazonia. "I believe we had something to talk about, and I did not understand your previous hostility or terms. It was confusing. We never preached in your lands and we admired your culture due to the willingness to respect others. But our previous efforts seem to state otherwise, nonetheless, We propose Trade and an Alliance."
"There is nothing hostile about us. We only wanted you to accept peace with our Amazon sisters. Anyway since that matter is over, we welcome you once more. We accept your proposal for both trade and alliance. We also suggest that you continue to admire us for our willingness to accept and respect others, and we would do the same for you, our religious differences notwithstanding". Thus spoken, Queen Varahika turns to the Foreign Minister and gestures her to complete the formalities.
"I shall take your leave" he walks away
