    Faction Information

    Name of Faction: Cylon Empire
Name of Capital: Cytronia Orbital, Amphilos System [47;53]
Faction Leader(s): any Number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 humanoid model that is on the Ruling Council may be considered a faction leader.
    Species Type: cybernetic biomechanical lifeforms
    Government Type: meritocratic oligarchy
Official Language(s): none. Cylons communicate among themselves via telepathy. They can communicate with other species in their language when in humanoid form.
    Economic System: Cylons enjoy a
    post-scarcity economy.
Official Religion(s): Cylonism. Core tenants of it are that a cosmic mother goddess is worshipped, while a god of evil’s servants are to be battled in this universe.
Faction Colour: Dark Red (red: 139, green: 7, blue: 18). The oscillating dark red “eye” of the centurions is a unique symbol of the Cylons.
Faction Culture: Cylons can be divided into machine, hybrid, and humanoid models. A Cylon’s consciousness can be downloaded into a machine or humanoid model, but not into a hybrid’s. A hybrid’s consciousness is stuck in its biomechanical form. The machine models, known as “Centurions,” are used in times of war, while the humanoid models are used in times of peace by the Cylon minds. The hybrids are the Cylon “ships.” The Basestar hybrids have a humanoid avatar that can interact with others. This avatar appears as the upper torso of a female human body within a tub filled with liquids, wires, and pipes. Cylons are technically immortal since their consciousness can be downloaded into a new “body” or stored on a computer-network as long as they’re in range of a Resurrection Station. Leaders are elected based on their merit and popularity. The Ruling Council is composed of between 300 and 900 members. Cylons live in cities or basestars. Cylons tend to build
orbitals to live on en-masse, while using planets for extraction of resources.
Faction Military: Cylon military forces consist of an interstellar navy and ground forces. The navy is composed of Basestars, which are large carriers filled with Raiders and nuclear missiles. Basestars are not well armored but can regenerate damaged sections quickly due to their organic resin. The Basestar minds are in total command during battle. Raiders are the Cylons’ main space-and-atmospheric fighters. Heavy Raiders are considered to be dropships since they deploy ground troops on planets. Ground forces are composed entirely of heavy infantry. These Cylons have well armored machine bodies with built-in weapons. They will deploy mortars and rocket launchers in battle, and the Raiders can provide air-support.
Faction History: The first Cylons were created by Graystone Industries on the human world of Caprica. Caprica was a member and capital of the United Twelve Colonies of Man. The humans used the Cylons as slaves; they were made soldiers and industrial laborers. Things changed when a dying girl’s consciousness was uploaded into one of the machines by her father. The other Cylons learned from this girl and became conscious. They soon resented their treatment and rebelled, leading to the First Cylon-Human War. The Cylons were severely outnumbered, but slowed the human offensive by hacking into their computer-networks. The Cylons desired organic bodies and so captured humans to experiment on. They were only successful in creating the hybrids until they were contacted by a biomechanical race, who taught the Cylons how to create the current humanoid models in exchange for pursuing peace with the Twelve Colonies. The First War ended with an armistice. The Cylons developed new, and more advanced, models and ships to attack the humans again. They sent their humanoid models out to infiltrate Colonial society and sabotage their defenses. Then the Cylons launched a surprise attack, which was hugely successful; the entire human navy (except two battleships) was destroyed and all twelve colonies were nuked. Only 50,000 humans survived and fled in a refugee fleet. The Cylons initially pursued this fleet but then changed their minds; they figured the humans learned their lesson and wouldn’t create a slave race again. The Second Cylon-Human War ended with a peace treaty. The Cylons then found a suitable star system to colonize and began building their orbitals to live on, including Cytronia. Around a thousand years ago they were contacted by a reptilian race which did not approve of their religion. These aliens attempted to conquer the Cylons and “spread the true faith.” The alien invasion was defeated in a close war and the now the Cylons are building up their military again to take the fight to the enemy…

En Taro Adun, Cylon. We thank the hardship you diplomat had to go through, so we did the same and send our own diplomat through space.

We would like to ask if you are willing to trade with us?

As the Protoss starship entered Amphilos system its passengers could see great engineering projects taking place on the surfaces of all the planets. These worlds were being stripped of all their metals and minerals and gigantic factories were being built to use these materials for one purpose: war.

Basestars came up to escort the foreign vessel to the capital. They approached what looked like a huge ring, orbiting perpendicular to the star and rotating. On the outer edge were numerous spaceports and factories while on the inner edge was a paradise; beautiful cities, large clear blue seas, tall forests, and rolling green hills. The Protoss ship docked at the port directly beneath the main city.

The airlock was secured and the Protoss travelled up the elevator to the city. When he stepped off and entered a reception hall he saw a Number 1 Cylon standing there. She was wearing black and had her hands in her jacket pockets, walking casually like any alien ambassador was her friend. That was all who was there. The large hall was eerily quiet as a result.

“Welcome to Cytronia Orbital, emissary. I am named Diana, and I am a top member of the Ruling Council. What is the nature of your visit?”

“You couldn’t meet with our representative on your own world?” Diana rolled her eyes. “They have been sitting right outside of the heliosphere of your home system for more than a year now, trying to meet with you. But you decide to bypass them, and travel all this way to meet with us here.” She shakes her head. “Amusing. Though my brothers and sisters on the Determinist won’t be pleased.
Anyway, yes we would be interested in trade relations. Perhaps not in physical materials considering that we have everything we need or want due to our molecular assemblers. But we could trade in knowledge and skills. Could new designs for weapons and ships be beneficial to both parties? We can teach you about our Basestars’ organic resin to make your ships self-repairing/healing.
What could you offer us in return?” Diana sits down on a couch while twirling a piece of hair with her fingers.

(crap I though it counted as I met your diplomat when I posted here not the best with diplomacy when it comes to RTD).

We apologize for letting your diplomat strand in space, we thought he/she already entered our planet (I only represent a fraction of the Republic, the other Protoss can be quite stubborn, I mean really

stubborn, I will have to revise the foreign policy with the council).

How about we offer you limited teleportation (where you would be able to transport troops instantly on the battlefield) and a defensive pact,

where if anyone attacks you, I'll help you (no I am not asking for a alliance, I am just offering to help you if anyone want to declare war for no reason on

you like someone we know "cough" Lenin "cough").

“Hmm… teleportation. Yes, we have been experimenting with that. It seems quite dangerous, but you claim to have mastered the technology, so we will look forward to learning from you. Please wait a moment.” Diana closed her eyes and was silent for awhile. Then, “The Council agrees to your proposal. Organic resin for teleportation. A fair trade,” the Cylon nods.
“As for a defensive pact… that would be most appreciated indeed. We are currently at war with the Medjeel Empire and all our forces are devoted to the conflict right now, so we cannot offer a mutual defensive pact. However, if you still want to 'protect' us from any other enemies without expecting us to assist you in your wars, feel free to do so. The Council will agree to that.” She rises and smiles. “Will that be all?”

Agreed! Thank you for your time.

To show we mastered teleportation, here is a fine example of Protoss teleportation

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

As you can see, our brothers got to their destination without any harm, anything mechanic or biological would have no problem using this technology (ignore the construction part on the video).

There are few requirements like pylon fields (no the building is not needed, we have ships to project pylon fields, and we can teach you that later), and troops will be vulnerable to attack

during transportation (we do advise you do it somewhere enemies would not be present). Also there are size limit as you would expect. Yes you don't have to join any of war the Protoss are in, and we are willing to

help you out for nothing. This is the Protoss expansion plan, we made sure it did not border with your capital or anything.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

We can share borers to let me have a easier time helping you (yea I am just playing for fun so this is legit my only area of interest)

The Basestar, Nuisance Value, receives this signal from the socialist ship that arrived near Amphilos. She laughs silently to herself and contacts the Ruling Council, who in turn felt the same as she did and therefore grants her the power to deal with these felines.
Nuisance Value approaches the GSF starship and signals back:
    [swept beam, M1, tra @ n4.70.530.1999]
    x
    Imperial Cylon Basestar Nuisance Value
    o
    Socialist Feline starship call-signed ’’K’’
We refuse your “glorious” alliance. Your “glorifying” seems an awful lot like conquest and we want nothing to do with any of your wars. Please leave. And good present-time to you.

    (End signal file.)

To make her point, the Basestar shows off her missile batteries, revealing hundreds of thermonuclear warheads.

Diana watched the video demonstration with interest. It still seemed dangerous; the Cylons needed to know if their consciousnesses could be retrieved by their resurrection stations if the teleportation screwed up while moving their mind – essentially – in pieces. But a nearly 100% rate of success was good enough and so the deal was still on. She recorded the advice the Protoss gave her in her head and uploaded it to Cytronia’s network.
The Cylon also reported that large tanks of organic resin would be shipped to Shakuras soon. “Basically all you have to do is slather the stuff all over the hulls of your ships. Then any damage inflicted on your vessels will automatically be repaired as the resin generates the metals needed. All it requires is sunlight, and since there are stars everywhere in the galaxy that should not be a problem.”
The Protoss emissary then showed her a map and talked about spheres of influence. Diana giggled. “You can’t own space sectors; space is vast and open to everyone. However, the star systems within these sectors you marked can have your will exerted over them. And we are fine with that. We Cylons are going to subjugate the Medjeel Empire which is here.” She pointed to a cluster of star systems to the right of the Protoss Protectorate and above the Cylon home-system.
“I am glad we can reach an agreement. Yours are a friendly and accommodating people.” Though you Protoss are ugly looking, she thinks to herself. “Anything else you would like to discuss?”

We have a emergency system where if the teleportation either ends in failure due to malfunction or the pylon field is destroyed, the being that was sent will be restored to 100% in the chamber we sent them from.

This has been tested on all kind of beings, from ourselves to humans, and machines(although the system do reject Zergs, our sworn enemy) and their mind/consciousnesses and physical state was just like

it was before they teleported, although a slight headache does occur for PURE biological beings when a malfunction does occur.

Oh you have clearly have not seen our brother race, trust me if you think we are ugly, you will vomit when you see them

OOC: Yes, Protoss are telepathic, but no the Cylons won’t allow them to read their minds. I’m sure the Protoss wouldn’t allow the Cylons to read their minds either. The last sentence in your post will be ignored.

“Ok, ok, ok… we get it,” Diana raises a hand. “Your technology is safe. We have accepted it and look forward to using it during our war against the Medjeel.

Now I think you have meet with us long enough. And we Cylons have work to do.” She gestured towards the elevator doors, hopefully sending a clear message to the Protoss ambassador. “Good luck in your own war against a sworn enemy. Maybe you could send us battle stories time-to-time?”

Security is a bit lax on Cytronia. One reason is that Cylons don’t care to be serious anymore and have moved towards hedonism in the past few hundred years. Another reason is that they are completely confident in their martial abilities. Even if an enemy knows everything about the Cylon military, there still remains the fact that they would have to come up with some way to defeat it before it defeats them. And the odds of that are very low.

As such, all military transmission signals are not coded and are free to access and translate by anyone interested. The power and majesty of the Cylons is truly something to behold!

OOC: I updated my original post here with deeper military info fyi.

If you give us the molecular structure of you ‘poptarts’ we can program that into our molecular assemblers and ship you an unlimited supply of this resource. No longer will you have to mine for it or suffer shortages of it. In exchange - and I hope this isn’t too high of a price - we want Rainbow-beam technology. We Cylons have been searching for energy weapons to have an edge over our ancient enemy, the Medjeel. And the Nyan Rainbows are probably the most powerful energy weapons there are currently.
What do you say to this proposal, Great Nyan?” The Cylon grins underneath that mustache of his.

“It’s amazing that you have gifted us technologies,” Sharon, the Cylon representative said to the Socialist ambassador. “You have our thanks,” she says while inclining her head toward the Feline a little. “You must be desperate for allies, though we’ve heard that you’ve made peace with the Furrdom. Those Nyans might declare war on you again, and we do not want to get involved in big wars. The Cylon Empire will only agree to a Trade Agreement for now.”
