I dunno, I'd rather keep the Legion in its original form, yet pretty shrouded in mystery. IE, talk of Caesar, but the events at NV are shrouded in rumors and clouds. This would be sometime before. Perhaps 2280? 2285?
Yeah, I would rather keep the Legion the way it is, Zector. Its just too much to make up an original history when that creativity is more so needed for our setting, less than a faction that will have a small presence in our rp. I feel it should be 2285 - 2290.
Second battle of Hoover Dam, ie NV's final battle, was 2287 I think. So before that.
So since it is before the battle of Hoover dam they will still be in Arizona. Which is fine, maybe we can hear rumors from the west XD
Well, Zector, remember they are quite vast and have incorporated 87 tribes into their military structure. In fact, they might be the largest nation in the lore so far. While many forces could be in Arizona and Nevada, they still have flexible power to continue expanding. Even when they lost the First Battle of Hoover Dam, Caesar was easily reinforced and able to become a threat once more to the NCR.
I get that. But all i am saying is at the point we are talking there Borders range from Colorado to Arizona. Not saying that we couldnt see a Frumentari or expeditionary force or two in the area, but their power would be ...strained considering there power base is a state away, the biggest state in the continental US Besides, its only one faction, and one that is not as big a factor as many of the others that would be in the area! Lets get the unknowns out of the way. Also Sotha, That is a fantastic Picture A+
Not strained. Just not focused in the east. You'd have scout bases, groups of legionaries left to control the conquered lands.
^Exactly. Unless we have rolled events/event that is a Legion invasion of 'Gaul' as part of a focus on the East. Also, what does everyone think of this for the name of the possible voodoo faction, or is it too specific?
Ghede maybe. They would be a tribal faction correct? And maybe we could call the New Orleans Creole "town" Bourbon for obvious reasons XD
I like that suggestion. French Quarter and all that would called 'Bourbon'.
If we are in Louisiana should it be like Point Lookout since they are both swops
Yeah, there will be parts of Louisiana that is similar to Point Lookout, we haven't determined where though. Sotha is making a map though.
It's a lot like Point Lookout. We're focusing on the southern foot of Louisiana, with Baton Rouge being the northern most area of the map. The southern boot of Louisiana is almost entirely swamp or bayou, or at least very wet. Louisiana's a dangerous, primitive place, considering the landscape and how rampant slavers are in the area.
I agree that we should keep the game in a fairly limited geographic area.
for lore purposes:
