anyway, I was thinking that we would be best served deciding right here what rules we actually need. ok, so here goes 1: Combat: we need rules for combat, melee and ranged, that's obvious. 2: Scavenging/survival/Exploration: Survival/exploration we need this to a certain extent, but we don't need to go overboard. there should be a degree of randomness, but some places should be comparatively safe, and other places should be not for the faint of heart. scavenging: we need to decided what weapons and armor we want in game, and how rare they are, as well as the rarity of different types of ammunition. 3: NPCs: We mods cannot possibly play every man, woman, and child in the wasteland, so most everyday interactions with non-important NPC's should be minimal at best. 4: Buying/selling stuff: if you have money and/or stuff your willing to part with that's worth something, there should be places you can buy stuff. a simple barter can be implemented, as well as some kind of dice roll for the quality of the stuff that's aviable....although, this should at least be somewhat influenced by the source of stuff, as although someone somewhere may have some power armor they'll sell you for a ludicrous price, the average vendor on the street would have nothing of the sort no matter how high you rolled. 5: A character creation/advancement system: I love fallout, and I play allot of RPGs, so would love to make it all shiny and nuanced, but we have to be realistic about what TWC has the attention span for. the SPECIAL system, with some useful connected to said attributes skills, in my opinion, would be enough to make thing interesting. Perks to.
