We thank you for accepting our proposal. We are offering many exotic goods and even gold. We would like to have little water from your Aqueducts for our Royal Palace.

Consul Aulus Brutus responds - "Well, it is impossible to build an Aqueduct that runs straight long from Rome to Mauretania, but we can help you in building them in your capital."

An diplomat from Narakota arrives at the head of a large ensemble of servants, officials and guards.

The diplomat is welcomed at the gates after being checked. A courtier accompanies him to the Imperial Palace, leading him to the marble-walled guest-chambers. He is offered fine wine and food, and a lavish room to rest in. After some time, another courtier accompanies him to the huge door study-room of His Imperial Majesty the Caesar.

The Emperor is drowned in paperwork on his table, but looks up and smiles to the diplomat, and offers him a seat to his front. Then after signing a document, he puts the quill away and speaks with a benovelent smile. - "
Greetings, dear visitor. We heard you came here all the way from the north, from Narakota. What do you wish to discuss with us?"

The city of Rome now belongs to the Caliphate of Córdoba, and with it the Imperial Palace.

Perhaps the Roman emperor is wiser now, and will accept the peace offer...

Not the city of Rome, the CASTRA PRAETORIA is still in Roman hands, and the Praetorians will immediately retake the Eternal City of Seven Hills! If you want peace, Consul says, then you should guarantee that you will not declare war on us again once we start retaking Italy from the Sicilians. In return, we will hand over Emporion to you.

The cease-fire entails that you do not attack me or any of my allies.

I'm not putting any naval restrictions on you this time (which was the reason, I assume, you turned down the first peace deal).

Forget about peace, mate. You gave my capital to a random guy. You ruined all the fun I was having in this game. You keep making stupid demands, you simply don't know one bit about negotiations. What's the point if you are giving out my territories to others, I will have to declare war on them to retake the lands anyway. And then you'll come talking your usual crap about how I rejected peace. I am done talking with you.

And sea-restrictions are not the only reason for my refusal. It was your stupid demand for Corsica, and a ridiculously long peace.

And remember, I didn't reject peace. You made me reject peace with your idiotic demands.
