The Emperor rejects the notion of any alliance for now, since it would drag the Empire into an unnecessary war in the Balkans. However, His Imperial Majesty then speaks after thinking for some time - "We have noticed that you have many goods from North Africa that the honourable German people would like to purchase from you. What would you say to a trade agreement for the mutual benefit of all people?"
Of course, instead , we want tehnology of war. Our men may be brave but they need armors and crossbows! Is this agreement good for you?
The Emperor speaks in a more relaxed way now - "Supplying weapons and armour, again, would be viewed as an act of war, and would draw us into war if Hungary decides to use it as a Casus Belli. So we can unfortunately not trade in any arms." But then he adds - "We do, however, wish for civil resource trade. We have the biggest supply of wood in the whole known world, and have abundant iron and coal as well. And we have innumerable artisan goods your people might wish to buy. What is your answer?"
Well ,we don't want weapons , just the tehnology of making them! If this is not possible, wood would be fine too!
"Selling technologies is no different from selling weapons." - the Kaiser says. "But We shall agree to a civil trade, offering goods such as timber, iron, coal, manufactured goods, and so on." The Emperor orders the Imperial Scribes to write a trade-agreement treaty once a steward brings in precious parchments to the Imperial Throne Room. Once two copies of the document are completed, He stamps the parchments with the giant Imperial Seal, bearing the mark of the Eagle. The treaty is sealed, and now it is handed over to the barbarian emissary to sign.
Our emissary signed after taking a carefull look at the document.
Good. The negotiations for trade are successful.
