Hey so I wanted to know what you guys use to Edit and capture your videos?
Funny I got in here to ask you the same thing. My current PC is down new one in a few days. I will have to start all over again. I was thinking of Camstudio but not sure. I'm also interested in what all you are using to record and edit videos.
hahah I'm using fraps to record, then I edit and make the videos in Windows movie maker. There are better programs out there but this one is free and I havnt gotten around buying a program yet. And i normally save to my computer and upload it directly to youtube lol What happened to your computer?
Intermittent boot up, crashes etc. I could prob track down the issue, but its 6 years old, dual core, 4 gig ram 320 gig Hd and a lame video card compared to today's, but I must admit did more than fine on most games with decent settings. Don't want to jack with it. I ordered a i7 3770k, 16 gig ram, 120 SSD 1TB HD, GTX660TI, etc. So I should be rocking for a while.
I use Fraps when I'm recording. In my opinion its the best recording software out there at the moment. I use Sony Vegas Pro 12 to edit and render. I also use Adobe Photoshop CS5 to create custom thumbnails and backgrounds
I use frap and sony vegas 11, I tried the demo of adobe after effects and really didnt understand it
Fraps and Windows Movie maker 2.6, anyone else have problems with large fraps video?? made a 30 min video and it was 70 gb :/ if so do you guys put it straight onto youtube or use a program to compress it some how?

i have no problem with fraps or windows movie maker lol
thing with movie maker is, I found that it tends to stop working when your videos get to big/long
Found that out the hard way. So I now record using fraps, convert it using any video converter to an mp4 file them using the new movie make finish it of there. Takes a while about an hour or two to do one movie but I found it works for me
