Hey fellas! I'm from the Highlands, and I'm a Unionist. Some Scottish facts, or not so facts: Bagpipes, oringated in Mesopetamia. Tartan is not just Scottish, it's 'Celtic' 'Kilt' is a old Danish word. Almost all Scottish Land Owners are of English decent, and therefore probably French. Haggis, is NOT Scottish. It was invented by English sheep herders. The first King of the Union was Scottish. In the past when the most dominant Pictish King, or later the King of Alba, led an army South and defeated he subdued his titles to the English to save his country and people from ruin. The Union works, always had and without England Scotland would fail. Without Scotland, England would fail. Fact. The SNP suck. The Highland accent was once voted the clearest in the UK. More than a Hundred important things to the Progress of civilisation in the Modern Era, were invended in Scotland or by a Scot. Jacobites did NOT fight for Freedom, they fought for the true Monarch of the UK and for Catholic liberties. Wiliam Wallace was of French, English and Welsh decent. He was a lowlander, land-owner and the kilts we see in the film Braveheart were not worn till the 16th Century or so. Most Scots hate Braveheart, it was filmed in Ireland (Hello Gealic-brothers and sisters!). It's historical accuracey is terrible! I'm a Highlander, I'm Scottish, I'm British and I'm PROUD of the REAL facts.
