And the shogun would hold the real power, so instead of interacting with the emperor (which would serve no purpose) how about Roleplaying with the shogun instead?
But there is no shogun when we start. The purpose of the game is to become Shogun. (or the most powerful person in Japan if you are not Rping a Daimyo) But yes there would not be much to do with the emperor.
No shogun? Errm... There has been a shogunate since the 12th century.
This time period would be the ashikaga shogunate.
Technically yes, but the shogun does not hold any real power at this time.
True, but the emperor holds even less.
Since I am looking for a central Authority type Forum, it will be the Shogun, with maybe a thread for the emperor inside it.
Shogun holds little power, the emperor is the shoguns puppet. The last time an emperor did anything meaningful was before the shogunate even began
until the restoration
which is in the 1800's
and I think you were supposed to send men to Legionarivs in DHRR . He's getting massacred over there...
