for some reason the ai gets insanely powerful on very hard
This was probably my first true war game, and the one that lead me to by many different ones afterwards. This game was more than a classic.
While I like the Goths and Britons most, the Huns are the best civilization to play with.
I love this Game! This and the AOE I Rise of Rome expansion are my two favorites! My favorite factions are Goths, Byzantines, and Huns, along with the Attila the Hun campaign.
Hello!
One of the best games ever. Definitely.
Hi ,Byzantines by far
The first and the greatest game i ever played in a computer.... It's changed my whole life (and i'm not kidding)!!! It made me love history...
I started to play RTS after playing the AOE series. I don't know anything about European history before playing AOE..
I do love that game, up until my entire game got bugged, and the ai rgot how to build units or buildings. So ive played AOM more, which is also a great game not that hitorical though
Hi! I got AOE2 a while ago but unfortunantly I damaged it and just recently a friend got me AOE2 again! I forget how much fun it can be sometimes
Playing with friends on multiplayer deathmatch as French with unstopable hordes of Paladins. Awsome
Whoa! I didn't even know there was group like this until now. Automatic join. I love AOE II. Bought the year it came out and still play to this day. I owe of much of my love of history to this game, the Sid Meier battle games (Gettysburg, Antietam, Waterloo, Austerlitz), and Kessen I. Very found memories. One of very few games that gets installed on every computer I have ever owned. What is everyone's favorite campaign? Mine's a tie between Joan of Arc and Genghis Khan in the original and a tie between Battles of the Conquerors and Attila the Hun on TC. That's not even taking user made campaigns into account.
I faild in easy ....
My favorite campaign is probably barbarosa because of all the bonus things included within the levels. Also, the el cid campaign is very nice.
I nearly cried when Joan of Arc was killed in the story plot (t'was only ten-ish hehe). AOE II was epic!
Awesome!
I love the campaign cutscenes! Watching them is so much fun
Me and some of my friends have been playing AoC lately and I kick ass now compared to when I was a kid.
