Hi! I'm new here , how you all doing?
Nobody ever uses the group(s) anymore... BUT WERE DOING FINE(I think).
Well where to start..I was introduced to FIM,by someone mentioning Cupcakes on a review for a grimdark story about MLP on Fanfiction.net. I was reading parodies of children's shows in a fit of boredom and had found my way to the MLP section. I looked up Cupcakes,read it and brushed it off. I knew nothing about the show and I'm a bit desensitized to stuff like Cupcakes,because I regularly look things like that up. This was in...June. One day on YouTube I was linked to "Your Face" a video showing a remix of the "your face" scene in Return of Harmony. I went from there through a montage of specific scenes from the series. Eventually I looked up the first episode just to see what the heck this meme was about. And so I watched the first episode. I looked up the second part,so I could say I had at least sat through the first episode. At the end of part 2...I was smiling. This was the first time in a long time where a cartoon had made me legitimately smile,let alone laugh. I went from there through the episodes and I have now reached the end of season 1. Despite the fact that my introduction to the show was a rather infamous gorefic,it has in no way hindered my enjoyment of the series and in fact Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony,followed by Fluttershy,Twilight,Rainbow,and Luna. When I'm asked why I like the show my simplest answer,is "It makes me smile and feel happy. Now tell me that's bad." I look forward to the day when I can show the show to my children. Even if they don't become a fan like me,at least I can be satisfied that they won't call it "gay". But really FIM is kind of gay. Gay once meant happy or joyous. And nothing's wrong with that.
Well. It appears I'm the newest member in awhile. Hope Im not all alone here... My name is Top Hat. I'm a newer Brony, having only been one for a few months. Uh..... Im a zebra. I also live in a tree with many many interesting people/things. Thats actually pretty much it.
ugh, I wish I could get a notification for people posting here. Also, you people's lack of faith in fanfiction...disturbs me. (in all seriousness, it is like all fanfiction- lots of bad, but still plenty of good, and avoid the obviously horrific shock, troll, and erotic fics)
(although sometimes the erotic fics are hilarious. Not..... Not that I would know, or anything.
Of course On that note, you actually are right- in the land of fanfiction, there is the works so good they are good, and the ones so bad they are good. Both can make for an amusing evening.
