Server name: Nwknights; Module name: Nwk Resurrected; Game type: Team; Local Vault The nwknights server finally updated from version 1.68 of neverwiter nights to v1.69. So please check us out if you still play neverwinter nights. It’s a team pvp server that has been around since 2004. It includes various maps of three types of games: king of the hill, domination, and flag. a server leveller is also provided, or alternatively one can level offline on one’s own leveller. Basically, the way it works is that players make a character and level to the maximum level allowed; which is level 20. Everyone is of equal level so games are decided on player skills & player ability to work within a team. upon hitting the gong at the server entrance area the player is randomly allocated a team (Silver or gold), and is thereupon teleported to the “equip hall”-here the player selects his equipment/gear; this includes various armours and weaponry along with “special setups/kits), and once equipped is ready to enter the battlefield. The modders took extra care in balancing all equipment, and thus the only advantage any setup has over another is strategical, and all gear setups have counter-setups i.e. a strength based weapon master might go for the “offensive kit” set up. While an assassin or rogue type "sneak" characters would go for “archer kit” or “spy kit” type setups as such setup offers bonuses to dexterity and stealth, spotters on the other hands might go for "scout kit" setup to spot the other teams sneaks etc. Once finish equipping your warrior players enter the battlefield, here one joins other teammates to battle it out against the other team and to complete each maps specific objectives in order to win. Typically one map might last approximately 30-45 minutes. Hope to see you there...
p.s. my neverwinter nights nickname is “LastTitanian”.
Interesting...
It seems we spent too much time at v1.68 of Neverwinter Nights, and thus the move to 1.69 hasn't attracted much new blood (hopefully it will in the near future). The server seems pretty much empty weekdays . But during last weekend we managed a few 6v6 games. Thus, the best bet to play/join currently is weekends; with that said the server is up 24/7.
Good to hear the NWN community is still alive, while I don't play in it anymore (having NWN2) I feel the fact it's still around is a testament to NWN as a true re-playable game.
