If unity ever does occur...

Lets say that in the future we finally do form a single Arab state. What kind of government would best suit this state? A centralized government ruling from a certain region? Or a federation encompassing multiple provinces/regions with their own set of customs and laws? And how would non-Arab minorities be represented? What would the capital of this state be?

What I would like to see is a federation made up of the following provinces:

Greater Syria (the levante), capital at Damascus
    Iraq, Baghdad
    Kurdistan, Arbil
    Egypt, Cairo
    Sudan, Khartoum
    Hedjaz, Mecca or Medina
    Yemen, Sanaa
Bahrain/Gulf region, not sure about the capital
Also not sure whether Oman should get its own province

I would also like Cairo to be the politcal and economic (federal) capital of this state.

So, what do you guys think?

I think it should be an empire with each province having its own laws and customs

Anything is great as long as its united and led by a good leader

    Ameen.

Just out of curiosity, are you a monarchist?

Well I find monarchy cooler than republics :p but I wouldnt support a monarchy if its led by a retard like most arab monarchies

Haha, I guess we don't have much of choice in the middle east, either a dictatorial republic or an absolute monarchy.

It's a very interesting map that you have posted up there, one question though. I understand why all the other countries are represented there and all that, they are Arab countries through and through. But when it comes
to issue of Djibouti and Somalia that's where I am very curious. Obviously them two countries are not Arab ethnically or genetically, do you see them as being Arab and what is the view of the Arabs in general, do you view for
example Somalis to be true Arabs or not??
  12. ALFAJI
    ALFAJI
maybe co they might have arabic origins from the times od ancient yemen

You mean Djibouti and Somalia may have Arabic origins since the time of ancient Yemen, was it from the time of Queen Sheba because apparently her kingdom was in today's Yemen and it controlled large
part of the region. I don't know, for northern Sudan I can understand because there are Arab tribes from Hejaz that emigrated there and settled and northern Sudanese speak Arabic language today and have Arab customs even though by their look they look more Nubian. But for the Djibouti and Somalis, it's difficult to accept them as being true Arabs!

see the arabic tribes in the north of sundan are arabic and bure arabic to but some of them had a nubian look becuse the hot sun and there life for ages in this lan

and like i said one of those tribes emigrated who are my cozens they emigrated 250 years ago but they have the arabian look tell today

about the guys in somalia i really dont know about them a lot the thing i know is that they are from yemen.....

    and thats all

Sudanese Arab tribes are Arabs thru blood paternally and Nubian and other African blood maternally, the case with Djibouti and Somalia is that some of the Somali tribes are actually descended from Arab tribes but mostly in the north and coastal areas, there also some Arabs in Eritrea as well like the rashida tribe..You should all remember that being Arab is not based on your looks, there are many black skinned arabs or tribes in the Arabian peninsula as well, would that make them less Arab? Arabs have always been multi-complexion
  16. ALFAJI
    ALFAJI
no the arab is known from his nasab or blood line not his looks for the first things but what i dont believe who say his an arab with about a blood line like most of the arab states today but about the rashidah i'm from them btw and theres a thing that some people dont know that the rashidah dont let the nubians from the rashidah they may live with them wear clothing like them but there not called rashidis

if there is an arab nation, i want it to be ruled primarily by the Islamic Way. We will also need an adequate military and conscription based off the Egyptian way. i also would want to nationalize the oilfield and banks and create our own state from the ground up. furthermore we should also, with the vast amounts of money confiscated from the royal families fund the incomming migrants into our lands and doing what Israel does with their "Jewish Extracts" free home, job etc etc

Here's how I would reform Saudi Arabia:

-Imprison and exile the entire royal family and seize all their assets
-Do the same for the Wahabi clergy
-Remove restrictions on the right of the Shiites
-Remove restrictions on non-Muslim rights and allow them to go where-ever they please. Mecca and Medina are the only exception.
-Automatically give citizenship to the entire Saudi population, Saudi Arabs, non-Saud arabs, non-arabs, everybody. Promote cultural and linguistic integration.
-Change the name to "Islamic Arab Republic", change the flag, anthem, motto etc.
-Fund a huge project for expanding Mecca to make the Hajj even easier.
-Leave the Arab League, its a failed and incompetent organization.
-Violently crack down on corruption. And when I say violently I mean it.
-Domestic policy would be mostly focused on education and starting a local arms industry by co-operating with Turkey, Egypt, and China if needed.
-Foreign policy would be mostly focused on uniting the Mashriq, avoid antagonizing Israel until its safe to do so.
