Spoiler Warning! I always loved the ending fight with GOM. Well done GPG! Even for the time this game was alive.
This game has always reminded me of Neverwinter Nights.
I thought you might have liked it so took a guess and invited ya
I got into it a little bit but sadly NWN had already been revealed to me and I started moving more toward it (It was all the modules and hakpacks and expansions for it).
Yeah I had already been playing DS since like 2001 or so. I put off playing NWN because of it. Then the summer of like 2006 I started playing NWN. I'm gonna do an AAR from those adventures maybe we should start an Neverwinter group too?
I've heard of this game before, but I've never tried it...
Well it fell short of expectations in a number of ways (as most games do) but I would be lying to say I didn't enjoy it. There are aspects of this game which still to this day still have yet to be expanded upon in the realm of RPG/RTS.
So who else agrees in spite of it's short coming DS was a unique game with nice atmosphere with lots of potential?
============================================================= Siegelets Manager Allows you to turn off and on the .dsres files. It can also be used as a launcher because of the bunch of launcher options. dsmodchk Checks for conflicts between mods for Dungeon Siege. autocast Characters will automatically cast defensive spells in spellbook. AutoUsePotions If you have a health potion available and your health drops below 21%, your character will automatically take a drink of the potion. The same happens with mana. eXpertAi This AI was created to provide a more challenging experience for the player by making monsters more intelligent in battle tactics (sorry guys, no more cheap tactics like creeping up on packs of monsters in order to lure them away one by one Eye-wink ) More specifically this is what this siegelet adds to monster's AI: - Monsters will try to run away from a battle when their health is less than 30% AND they are being attacked. - Monsters will run away when wounded but come back when not in danger anymore. - Monster flee further. - Monsters will protect each other. - Monsters understand the basic idea that you go for a Magic caster first then others. This means that they will *USUALLY* have targetting preferences. - Monsters alert other monsters around them when they spot an enemy (no more cheap tactics). - Monsters will pursue you much longer when you are running away. - Monsters will engage you in battle from a longer distance. - Monsters are more aware of their suroundings (scan their environment more often). - Monsters can see further. - Monsters will remember for a longer where you went when you dissapeared out of their sight. - Monsters are less limited in their movement range. - Monsters now autoregenerate life and mana just as your characters do. - Monsters may try to use potions if they have them (about 25% of the time). - Other minor tweaks. NOTE TO DUNGEONEERS: You can incorporate this AI in any mod you are working on since it uses a separate tank file, but read the disclaimer below. MoreRange Every 15 points of Range skill adds one to the range of the weapon. Multiple Heros In Multi-Player Currently, the various hero's are summoned by their corresponding summon spell. *Obivous issues with this for multiplay, but could be very fun on a large map with scalable creeps in PVP. Dual wield allow you to hold a weapon in your shield hand. Offhand weapon Gives you weapons to wield in you shield hand this is a sister mod to dual wield. TIAminispellbook Adds a new pannel to the character portrait the shows the spells of the currently equipped spellbook. Mini-SpellBook can be shown or hidden. LeftClick swaps spell 1 (hotkey 3). RightClick swaps spell 2 (hotkey 4). MouseOver shows spell name and type. Custom Graphics for the GUI. GUI Matches Dungeon Siege. Maa-Jussi's Heroes Start your singleplayer adventure as a dwarf, an utraean or even as a halfgiant. Lets you choose from 10 different dwarves and even choose their outfits. You can also select one of the new farmboys or farmgirls, including utraeans and gypsies. Even the halfgiants can be selected as player-characters (the mod includes real size halfgiants and farmboy sized giantboys). Includes packback, a bow and some useful spells. MonsoonsUI Allow interface for renaming character and other assorted commands. Ikkyo's Multiplayer Quest Save - The state of all quests and quest related events on both the Kingdom of Ehb and Utraean Peninsula maps are now saved using QuestBits so that one can pick up right where he/she left off. For example, quest related doors, like the Glitterdelve Gate, will remain open if you complete the quest in a previous game. Also, most quest rewards are only given out once. I hope to still make the rewards worth while though. All quest are saved in the journal, this gives a multiplayer character a much greater sense of accomplishment when all the quest have been completed.I hope to integrate veteran and elite modes for Ehb into this modification sometime as well. Icemage's Spell Icons v4 Once you have installed the mod file, you will see a white starburst on a black background next to the standard 4 buttons. Left clicking the starburst will open a new panel of buttons representing the icons in your spellbook. Left-click any spell icon to swap that spell into Active Slot 1. Right-click any spell icon to swap that spell into Active Slot 2. To turn off the panel, click the starburst again. NOTE: You must have an equipped spellbook or the panel will not open. =============================================================
Any interested in a game this Monday perhaps?
Hey guys just joined this group. Iv had both DS1 + expansion and DS2 + expansion though I have not completed either I really enjoyed these games and hope to play them again when I have the time. What do you guys think of the proposed dungeon siege 3? You will only be able to control 1 character. Isnt dungeon siege about controlling a whole group, wasnt that the fun of it all?
DS3? Seriously? And only one character? sigh... they just never learn... I think Bioware will be the ones to finally pick up on party managment when they make BGIII or some . Has anyone tried to play ds online like in the video?
You heard of Dragon Age? Its the latest Bioware game, just released and it has party play (like all their other games). Check it out
I don't really care for all the blood, but it looks like it could be interesting otherwise.
up for a game hit me up on pm.
Bump Anyone still playing this?
I will when I get my new rig put together.
