Welcome to the New official Mobile Suit Gundam Group. Since the only other one is inactive and only about Gundam Wing which causes chills down my spine.
This is where you post your hello to the group, and how you became a fan of Gundam.
For me it started many years ago, the very first Gundam series I saw a long while back was Mobile Suit Gundam Wing back in 1997. Though sadly I absolutely hated it.
It took a few years more until I finally became a fan of Gundam in any way when I saw a commerical for 08th MS Team. The exact Commerical is below in a spoiler.
08th MS Team had this lovely Romeo and Juliet story to it, which the commerical caught my eye. Up until then mecha to me was a boy toy anime selection. 08th MS Team was brilliant for me at the time it was a war anime which did not have real villians outside individuals, I cried for the enemy of the main character many times. It took many years until I saw the final episode which never aired on US television because of the child soldier theme of it.
I later watched Mobile Suit Gundam the original, Gundam 0080 and 0083 on cartoon network as well as G Gundam. Personally Gundam 0080 and 0083 are two of the best anime shows I've ever had the privilage to watch. I do hope anyone who likes Gundam will give them a try.
Since then though I've seen Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta, Double Zeta, Rewatched Gundam Wing (still hated it), Gundam Seed, Seed Destiny, Gundam 00, the movies Char's Counter Attack, Gundam F91, Gundam Triligy. Other OVA series such as MS Igloo, MS Igloo 2, StarGazer, Endless Waltz (unlike Wing I liked this), still working on Unicorn as everyone else watching it.
