Hey Agisialos my friend, I have seen that famous picture lots of times but I never knew its location. Do you know where exactly that picture was discovered and when??

Hi friend, Noble Lord. it was found at House of the Faun, Pompeii, displayed at Naples National Archaeological Museum Mosaicist unknown (copy of image by Apelles or Philoxenos of Eretria), c.200 BC It depicts a battle between the armies of Alexander the Great and Darius III of Persia and measures 5.82 x 3.13m (19ft x 10ft 3in). the whole thing is here:
well...now we found were from is Alexander the Great...he was from Pompei...yea...and the national museum of naples have his tomb,side by side with maradona's sculpture...

@Agisialos Thank you very much for the info, that picture is just beautiful. So, that scene must be then from battle of Gaugamela when Alexander famously charged into to the bodyguards of Darius the III and it made Darius flee. The mosaic even captured the Darius's face where he stares in disbelief at the young Alexander charging at him. Just beautiful. Thanks for the help.
