Yes Macedonia is Greece, but they should join Greece instead of disagreeing with eachother everytime . And Greece still holds the main parts of Historical Macedonia. But then again, I don't really know whats really happening and why those 2 aren't already together?
I just saw posts of Yuri Orlov in FYROM name dispute thread and I want to warn you all not to take him seriously, he is a well known prankster/spamer with sole purpose to bring confussion and chaos in every thread he join in... and we are not all gays!! Keep on with good work, it seems that FYROM side had descended to one 14 year old Slovak kid defending their stance

I know I don't belong in this group, after this message, I will leave. I just want to say something regarding this dispute. This is a map of the Byzantine provinces in the Balkans, before the Slav invasions. Yes, the map may seem inaccurate today, but it is true. Now , you see, when the Slavs eventually overpowered the Byzantines and moved into this area, a lot went to Bulgaria (or the Macedonia province on the map). The Slavs admired Byzantine culture and way of life, so a little later, they adopted the Orthodox Church, warming relations with the two. In turn, Byzantine artists and scholars felt honored to go to Bulgaria, and the former Byzantine population there stayed, mixing and intermarrying with the Slavs, obviously. Now this shows that the populace that moved from Bulgaria isn't only Slavic And, you guys are taking this way to seriously, I mean, what's in a name? Below is the whole Macedonia region, note that there is our Macedonia and yours, including Bulgaria's and Serbia's and Albania's. Obviuosly, these lands of Macedonia have the same exact claim as you do, your Macedonia is not the only right Macedonia, if you say they are, then I receive the fact this isn't serious. The people all living in this region consider themselves Macedonian, all of them rightfully are, but please stop saying the Greek Macedonia is the right one, once again look at the map above Good day PS, just ignore Yuri, he even insulted me with that comment in the Macedonian naming thread
Oh my God give it up AtillaGermansheperd , have you noticed that you are only one defending that silly stance, those people you are calling '' Macedonians '' (the ones from FYROM) were created 50 years ago by Yugoslavian commies just to piss of Serbs,Greeks and Bulgarians... as well as their ''state'' which even wan't exist in 10 years...

attila i am bored to answer to people who do not have their eyes open to see the truth! by reading your posts in macedonia name thread, i realized that it doesn't worth to try to teach history and not propaganda the citizens of fyrom. it's sad but true. the fact thatu studied for a year in Thessaloniki what is supposed to mean? besides learning a few greek words i do not see how it helped you in any way. when u study u r supposed to learn and not just imagine extraordinary things like the ones you post :wink: when u grow older, i hope u will see the light and not the candle that seems like a sun to you.

You haven't won anything. If you won, would scholars already have proof it's Greeks name and not ours? Thing is, it's not your name as of the moment, when people hear Macedonia they think of us, not a state in Greece, they think of the Macedonian Empire, but that redirects them us. You can't change that. If scholars have kept studying and have not came to a conclusion since our creation a hundred years ago then you might be out of luck. So, we are winning the 'battle'. And we aren't claiming your heritage, you guys overeacted and added that on, give me a quote from a Macedonian saying "We claim all ancient Macedonian culture, history, everything" You won't find a thing. And plus, it's just a name, we have the West on our side as well. (nearer my god to thee starts playing)
