    The North

House Stark of Winterfell: Lord Warden of the North. Possibly fan favourite.

House Bolton of the Dreadfort: Low loyalty to Starks. Can take over North.

House Manderly of White Harbour: Only faction in the North with knights. People maybe into that. Control of White Harbour, main base of North fleet.

House Umber of Last Hearth: At war with Wildlings.

House Glover of Deepwood Motte: Control of the eastern part of the north.

    The Riverlands

House Tully of Riverrun: Another fan favourite. Lord Paramount of the Riverlands.

House Mallister of Seagard: Looks out for Ironborn invasions, main base of Tully fleet.

House Frey of The Twins: Rebellious against Tully.

House Bracken of Stone Hedge: Cavarly based faction of Riverlands. Enemy of House Blackwood.

House Blackwood of Raventree Hall: Best archers of Riverlands. Enemy of House Bracken.

    The Vale

House Arryn of The Eeyrie: Lord Paramount of the Vale.

House Royce of Runestone: House with still strong ties to the First-Men, still wears bronze armour. Unique House.

House Grafton of Gulltown: Control of Gulltown, main base of Arryn fleet.

House Waynwood of Ironoaks: Second strongest house of Vale.

House Corbray of Heart's Home: Part of the Lords declarant, which means they have some influence.

    The Iron Islands

House Greyjoy of Pyke: Lord Reaper of The Iron Islands.

House Harlaw of Harlaw: Second strongest/ house of II, wealthiest and most densely populated.

House Botley of Lordsport: Controls Lordsport, main base of Iron Islands fleet.

    The Westerlands

House Lannister of Casterly Rock/Lannisport: Richest house of Westeros, bla bla. Lord Paramount of the Westerlands. Main base of Westerlands fleet.

House Lefford of the Goldent Tooth : Control of the Golden Tooth, a strategic castle to enter the Westerlands via the Riverlands.

House Swyft of Cornfield : They own Cornfield which probably has...lots of corn fields. So breadbasket of the Lannisters?

    The Stormlands:

House Baratheon of Storm's End: Holds Storm's End, a formidable castle. Lord Paramount of the Stormlands.

House Caron of Nightsong: Lord of the Marches, southernmost Stormlands house.

House Dondarrion of Blackhaven: Beric Dondarrion's house.

House Connington of Griffin's Roost: ???

House Morrigen of Crow's Nest: ???

    The Reach:

House Tyrell of Highgarden: Second richest/strongest house of Westeros. Control of the second biggest realm of Westeros. Lord Paramount of the Reach.

House Tarly of Hornhill: Said to have the best trained soldiers of Westeros.

House Fossoway of Cider Hall: Apple orchards. Maybe slightly rich or whatever.

House Hightower of Oldtown: Control of Oldtwown, very important port city.

House Redwyne of the Arbor: Control of The Arbor and main base of Tyrell fleet. Some pretty good wine too.

    Dorne:

House Martell of Sunspear: Rich history. Lord Paramount of Dorne, main base of Dorne fleet.

House Yrownood of Yronood: Hisotrical grievances with House Martell. Second strongest house of Dorne. Holds Yronwood, Warden of the Stone Way.

House Dayne of Starfall: Legendary status. Many renowned knights, such as Sir Arthur Dayne.

House Fowler of Skyreach: Warden of the Prince's Pass.

House Manwoody of Kingsgrave: Killed a Tyrell king, badass sigil. Holds Kingsgrave, equally badass name.

The Westerlands : Lannisters [ richest house in westeros, very popular]

Stormlands : House Stannis and Renly [ both are one of the members in the war of the 5 kings event]

Dorne: House Martell [ own massive amount of land, could be fun splitting it up even more and not letting player play as any dornish faction

Riverlands: House Tully [ very big role, not neccasarily role but many battles ensues over the tully lands and are the connector of all kingdoms.

House North maybe replace umbar with Bear Island?

Wildlings or Nights watch, not both. [ gotta have a underdog ]

The Reach: House Tyrell [ we should also add more vassals e.g House Redwyne

Iron isles: House Greyjoy maybe Harlaw?

targaryens as horde, allied with khal drogo (who can also be playable). I can make missions for them to astapor and get "unsullied".

the vale: House Arryn. they were pretty neutral during the books but they can play a big part if swayed to either side (lannister or stark). Plus the other houses didnt seem to do much

the nights watch over the wildlings: it might be pretty boring just fighting against the nights watch. plus the nights watch will have to defend against the onslaught of the wildlings and white walkers. I can control the spawning rate of the whitewalkers (huns) so that should be managable

The North: we have to limit the number of playable factions. there are only so many with vanilla+dlcs. I can make minor factions playable but that takes a long time (as a found out doing Tetrarchy). It can be done though

Riverlands: House Frey, for the sadist haha. They do play an important role as the buffer between lannister and stark. Plus as of right now they are only military allies with tully so they have more political freedom from the tullys
