I'm going to have to concede defeat here, that misplay was too costly. I could linger on as a thorn in your side for another dozen turns perhaps, but with the army meant to check your Prince's strength and kill your kill this turn destroyed my chances of victory are reasonably nonexistent. I would say I made three errors during the course of this match: 1) Underestimating King Jaume's ability to defeat my hastily assembled army at Toledo with 4:7 displayed odds 2) Failing to scout the southern waters on tun 15, allowing you to sneak a ship through to rescue your southern army this turn 3) Forgetting to move my spy back into Salamanca after training him on your King turn 16 You made several mistakes as well, mainly including failing to safeguard key defense points against my spies and diplomats. I also think it was a mistake on your part to sacrifice your King turn 16, and to have left your prince out of range of the fort near Leon such that you could not capture the city this turn. Aragon has much more room to absorb costly mistakes however.

Honestly if i were Portugal i couldn't win this.I really had too stressful times while both waiting for you and playing my turns.After your first bribe i feel like doomed.I have seen most of bribe actions in other hotseats but your first bribe turned the hotseat to game of agents.I had no plan to playing with many spies, assasins and diplomats and as you can see i didn't recruit them.That wasn't really my style.You done a great job at toledo in the beginning.Didn't let me to take it and then take it for yourself.But King Jaume striked and taken Toledo from you.Toledo was my main hold in the whole game.Except my starting cities only Toledo stands againts you.I mean you captured every other castle i conquered but not Toledo.The turn my prince is defeated at fort and my army stucked by rebel ships, i feel like i lost it.My prince was my best general at that moment and i thought rebel ships gonna sunk my army but they didn't.If the rebels didn't attack me on that turn (yea they defeated that ship once then surround it) i was about to blockade your port with 20ships while you have 4 ships overthere and try to strike your southern cities.That turn second part of the game have started for me.I pull back my king reconquer Pamplona and Burgos.Keep getting armies from Valencia and Toledo.I wasn't expect to get that much army in that much less turn.Anyway after several turns i think the victory i get with King Jaume was needed.That was your best army and i was killing them with minimal loses.Also guarenteed conquer of Leon (eventually it would fall, i was in no haste since i didn't have many catapults and trebuchet at that point).But the key point was your mistake with spy.If i couldn't capture salamanca with my spies i couldn't enter your fort with my catapult.So i couldn't defeat your army which is marching to Toledo.But that ship was standing there for more than 3-4 turns i don't remember when i place it there. One last thing i want to ask; last turn you defeated my army at south on that battle's result it says you have 700 men remaining but in the you just have 420.Since your army barely reached to mine i don't think you moved that 300 men to somewhere else or disbanded them for the sake of pay less upkeep.What happened there what happened to your men ? I believe somehow you uploaded the best picture but not the best save.As your spy is also outside of Salamanca. Anyway very well played at all.Despite Saleska defeated zkrarel and kilicarslan win the round because of his oppenent didn't play, i believe Portugal has no chance to win this 1v1 hotseat.I'm happy to defeat you but also sorry to eliminate such a worthy opponent.I don't think i will have that much fun and stress on my next matches.See you on other hotseats.
The extra men were the desert archers and desert cavalry I bribed from rebels in order to make up the difference in our army strength. They had most of their movement left so I moved them up into the fort/Seville to be closer to where the main fighting was
I see now.Again well played.The only reason you lost the hotseat is you had to play with Portugal.
