The same Decinryian diplomatic entourage that visited Crete has arrived at Tokoyo, having trundled their carts slowly up the Danube, across northern France then crossing the channel. Wishing that they had not been quite as successful negotiating with the Cretans, their rewards was to talk with another nation, this one on the other side of the world. It was an exhausted and filthy group that entered Tokoyo, indistinguishable from any other.

Their remaining coins spent on a cheap inn where they could wash, rest and eat, diplomat Haratus and the scholars decided they would see the leader of this USJ the next morning.

The Diplomatic Minister, Morihiro Ise, bows slightly, before you is a surprisingly traditional hall, Samurai armour on Mannequins and plenty of Katana's on the paper walls. But on either side are Black Knights, armed with military grade guns. "Konichiwa, Gaikōkan, I am the minister of Foreign Affairs, I heard that you wished to talk to Zero, but he is busy at the moment, instead, I will deal with this matter. May I remind you, We are unlike the other places you may have been, we are a republic, no your "majesty"s."

officially opens up as I am going to start invading the western coasts of Spain asap and make fleets there.

Now I am afraid we will have to postpone an alliance; our only fleet is small and we need it to police our local waters. If in the future we build a mighty armada, we will consider your request. A Finnish diplomat arrives at Tokoyo. "Our King feels that the defensive pact is as of now inadequate to represent the cooperation between our people, and as such we propose that both our nations sign a multipurpose alliance treaty. In return we are willing to let you have the proposed region in Norway and Gotland. Oh, and best of luck in the New World. If we ever have any conflicting interests there, we trust that we can settle them like gentlemen."

"We accept. So to Iron this out, we will aid in wars that are offensive as well?"

"Well if you put it that way, yes, that would be preferable. Not that we plan to start one in the foreseeable future."

building up fleets and attack the Canary island water islands and gift it to you (once the war against

Crete is over that is).

Zero gazes at the two squabbling Diplomats. He sighs, tapping his hand on the edge of his seat. Zero was amused at the translators, translating the argument. Some times stumbling at the speed the two translators looked like they had an idle argument, staring at the two diplomats while talking to each other.
Agitated by the shouting, the Court's Guard, who were motivated not by people, nor money, they adhered to no king or president, but they only served the preservation of the Ancient Courthouse. Rushed in and lined the edge of the court. The court guards were raised to be guards from birth, although fabled to face several hardening trials on the top of mount Fuji from the age of seven. Seeing as Mount Fuji is not in the British Isles, it has became difficult to find the same circumstances, in compensation, It became more rigorous. Although in times of war these court guards acted as the Tokoyo Guards. As hardened soldiers, they were valuable assets.

Zero gripped his staff, "SILENCE!"
The room became still. Samurai caressed the golden rim of their katanas.
"Firstly, Do not argue in my court, if you want to squabble, why do you come to Tokyo if you are to argue amongst yourselves." Zero rubs his hands together once before sitting forward.
"If you'll listen, I'll tell you why I disagree with both of you. The USJ is a world away from the Mediterranean, we have no side in your squabble. To the Greek one, we cannot ally with your nation since we are allied with the Spanish, way before this War, and them as an ally benefits us in the new world. We do not want to be involved in the Mediterranean, and if either of you call us to war, you will be met with sore disappointment. To both of you, we can get our own claims ourselves. I will accept trade as a token for non-aggression, but I expect our new world agreements will stay the same."

"I will overlook this insolent behavior in my court this once. Be warned though. Speak or leave."

We hope you at least accept our gift of a fleet to make the process of

taking the Canaries easier (will make a fleet in the Canary as soon as

the Cretan-Spanish war in the Levant is over, or maybe later then that)
