Faction History: For the past three hundred and fifty years the Protectorate of Decinryos has been a principle loyal vassal of the Hoamman Empire, faithfully defending the motherland’s southern border from Magyar and Serbian raids and invasions.

However, the arrival of the Mongols in Eastern Europe in 1258 precipitated the military and economic decline of Hoamman, the people of Decinryos watching helplessly as they could do nothing to aid the motherland; a decree passed by the paranoid last king prevented movement of armed forces from the protectorates from leaving their province. The well equipped and flexible armies of Decinryos that could have at least given the Mongols cause to be slightly on guard were restricted to guarding the ever shifting Danube border, where Roman, Serb, Croat and Bulgar swapped settlements like under table bribes in the Imperial capital.

As the flow of Hoamman officials and messengers slowed to a trickle, then stopped altogether around 1454, Decinryos was unshackled. No longer required to answer to an empire that was stopped existing in all but name, and on the maps, the people called for governor Miritsdes to become their king. Yet he, having been raised in the Hoamman capital was very loyal to the motherland, and insisted that while he would take the crown (despite the extravagant legends the bards spun, modern historians predict the crown was either hurriedly forged overnight by a private smith, or stolen from a Serbian Prince years earlier), Decinroys would remain Hoammans greatest and loyalest servant. Until armageddon the Protectorate would continue its duty of protecting and serving the empire.

    Leaders

    Faction leader:
King/ Governor Therocus I - the son of the first king of Decinryos,
Miritsdes, he follows his father's policy of reclaiming land for the Hoamman Empire, despite whether or not it still exists. However, he embraces the title of king that his people have bestowed on him, referring to it more than 'governor' in official documentation.

    Faction heirs:
The twin princes Caleros and Geretses - said to be born at exactly the same time, they are destined to rule together. At 17 they have ridden with the father in battle and as they continue to grow they will soon lead armies of their own. They are required to learn the basics of governing, Rhetoric, history, geography and politics. However while Caleros loves the thrill of riding with the bodyguard and running down fleeing brigands, his brother finds such a hobby barbaric and os prefers to challenge himself in the libraries of Cerianes, listening attentively to monks, scholars and foreign visitors.

Queen Ariamina - the daughter of a powerful Armenian aristocrat, she was part of a ten year peace and trade package. While she hides her emotions and maintains the role of a respectable powerful lady, the king knows she misses her home dreadfully, and so has arranged for an authentic Armenian quarter to be built within
Cerianes. When the Queen is not thinking of home, she is taking care of her son's education to make sure they grow into strong, fair rulers, while easing the burden on her husband and council by taking charge of various day to day businesses.

OOC: Seems I inadvertently based the heirs on Caracalla and Getta, but hopefully those two will get along better. Also hanging gardens too.

The orange part is where you can take in the New World. We will give you a piece of land and a fleet so that you can conquer these lands.

I think it is a generous deal as you don't have to work too much to get free land and resources (we the Spanish will get to the New World once

we get the lands from our dearest allies the Bohemians).

The Council sits dumbfounded, and Queen Ariamina subtly gestures for the Chief Inquisitor to approach.

'Tell me if our guests are lying. You can read expressions.' She turns to the Castilian ambassadors - 'Please excuse us while we make our decision.' Their collective decision already chosen even before backs turn and heads lean in, they mumble incoherently while they wait for the Inquisitor to finish his work.

He slips behind the Queen, whispers, 'no.'

She turns, and the Council members a moment later to the Castilians. 'We accept your offer. Not even fools would deny such a generous agreement. We would like to repay this gift to Castile in the future.'

A servant drops wax onto the document and the Queen stamps it.

All we like to ask it that the Decinryos and the Spanish get along. It would also help if you can get along

with the one that borders your New World and the Old World, Bohemia and the Zollanders who are next to you.

    Spoiler for The plan

I will take these two orange regions and then give it to you later along with the promised fleet ( though don't expect me to give you the

large fleet ) So it will be somewhere around 3-5 turns (let us hope the dice gods are kind to the Spanish)
