I think Ireland are one of the easiest factions. The English are weak, and once you commit some assassinations with the infamous Irish Assassins, the English on Ireland will be leaderless and Brian O'Connor will have a max dread level. Combine these two factors and the English armies will route almost immediately. Once thats done you can just build up big towns and strong armies without facing any invasions, and then you can do the simple task of conquering Britain. Wales get it hard though, their armies are big and they have only 3 settlements (two of which are castles) meaning they get awful income. England is easy to conquer, but once that's done, the Scots, Norwegians and Irish are waiting for you with their full stack armies. Yikes.
"Simple task of invading Britain"? I've found this be really difficult as either the Scots or Norwegians will do all in their power to take out my fleets! I managed to get a foothold in Britain, but ye Welsh took it from me pretty quickly and allied with the Barons' Alliance against me! I ended up in the awkward position of being allied to the English!

Allied with the English?! Ruire, what were you thinking? I really like the Irish unit roster- their only real weakness is their lack of spearmen in my opinion. Their Lord's Retinue look awesome, their calivermen can beat even cammel gunners and their muire are near invinsible.

Very bad, Wales, the Barons, Scotland, and Norway were all out to get me... The only time I've seen Muire soundly beaten was when the Welsh used them as target practice during a particularly unfair ambush!

The Welsh, rather nationalistic party. A generally good bunch of people. The people who vote for them are generally welsh-speaking and proud of their nationality. At the moment Plaid is in the Welsh coalition government as the junior partner with the Welsh branch of the Labour party. They generally want to promote the Welsh language and tradition while maintaining equal rights in Wales for people of all races, cultures and religion.
I figured as much (I do have some Welsh), but, em, I thought you were pro-Union... Why would you then vote for Welsh nationalists?
I dunno, I doubt they'll win at this time, but Labour have made a mess of things and I'm not a fan of any of the other parties either at the moment. I'd like to see Plaid win, and I think rather than get Independence for Wales, they'll just promote the language and culture, and make Wales slightly more independent, much like the Scots are now (and maybe get us a position on that flag! ). But I don't want Wales to go Independent- some areas of Wales are much nicer with investment from other British areas (Cardiff for example is developing at a rapid rate). So if Plaid did come into power, I doubt they'd be looking for an Independent Wales, especially not this early. Lets build up our cities first.....

The one big thing I hate about the Kingdoms Britannia is the Welsh guy's have English accents. I'd love it if someone would be clever enough to make a mod with the Celtic inheritance system thing (when the Kingdom is shared out between all the children. It would be hard but fun to play). But stuff like that probablly wont come out 'till empires. Anyway, I was at the Owain Glyndwr festival near Swansea (near Ystragynlais to be precise). ANyone else hear about it?
