Yeah, although lots of them have Welsh names, some such as the Gwent Raiders have English names. P.S What's your favourite Welsh unit? And Ruire, we have no problem with having English people here, I only wanted the angry mob to usurp King Eddie and his supporters. So it's not 'Ethnic' cleansing, it's Edward cleansing!

Yeah, they sure do rule. Combined with a platoon of magnelwyr (for morale damage) they can really pack a punch and destroy entire unit platoons alone, hell in most battles they kill more men than my charging Knights! I think Teulu are better than they seem too, I've defeated the heavy Irish Lord's Retinue with them before. Historically innacurate they may be, but the Morgannwg Spearmen are also amazing- they can whip the asses of the Scots Noble Pikemen any day!

A few strong Teulu charges should send the Calivermen fleeing! The Welsh non-spear Infantrymen however probably never have smiles on their faces since they're so poor! But yeah, Calivermen are good, especially when mounted. I also like the Irish Muire and Lord's Retinue. However, all of them are crushed when subject to the firepower and stakes of the Saethwyr!

Yeah, if Wales and Ireland were combined, we'd see the ultimate faction. The incredible cavalry and heavy infantry of Ireland combined with the awesome power of the Welsh archers and spearmen would soon send those Saxons fleeing back to Germany! With the Magnelwyr and Calivermen we'd also be a force to be reckoned with in the late period too! You see- English Knights < Lord's Retinue Yeoman Archers < Saethwyr Dismounted English Knights/Armoured Swordsmen < Muire Armoured Seargants < Morgannwg Spearmen English Arquebusiers < Irish Calivermen Prepare to surrender Edward...
We could also spam the enemy with Ceitherne (lit. pawns) and Gwent Raiders if necessary.
Yeah that would be a good idea to divert enemy fire, however the Gwent raiders would probably route before the battle even started. What we could do is get a huge army of Teulu Skirmishers, Horseboys, Welsh Skirmishers and Deisi Javelinmen, and shower the enemy army with hails of javelins until the army is in ruin!
