Noone said we could do it, we only survived because we were too proud to give in. That and the UK wouldn't accept us back. I believe Wales could make it, the EU would give Welsh official status too. I'd just like to point out that urbanisation destroys culture, Dublin is the most British part of Ireland and I despise that godforsaken hellhole.
but not at da moment with the money crisis sadly
The UK wouldn't accept Ireland back?
Would you? A load of sheep-shagging, gun-toting IRA bandits? Or, at least that's what the Conservatives see.
@ Ali G's question I would like to see an independent Wales, but am unsure if its the best thing for Wales. People tend to ask what is Wales's main economy, but then off course what is Britains main economy? Its a shame we don't have a good resource like Scotland with all that gass and oil. As Ruire said, I sometimes wonder if urbanisation is the best thing for Wales. I mean, Cardiff and Swansea are hardley the most Welsh speaking parts of Wales. The thing I hope does not go away in Wales is the language. All those cynghannedds lost for ever with no one to read them. I was wondering, would an independent Wales strengthen the language or not? Did it in in Ireland?
I would if only for bragging rights.
The Welsh speaking population in Cardiff is surprisingly big despite its cosmopolitan areas. What Cardiffians really lack though are Welsh accents- most Welsh speakers in Cardiff tend to be rather well spoken when speaking English. As for Swansea I'm not so sure, but since it's further inland I would guess that there is a higher percentage of Welsh speakers there than in Cardiff.
Oh yes, Wales-21 Australia-18, come on!
Happy New Year my Welsh subjects.
Any one wanting to vote for wales in the rugby come ere http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...09#post4400109

Siwmai pawb! Hello everyone!
perhaps we need some sort of subject to stimulate the conversation lol
Probably. Oh, looks like rain again.
Wow, this almost went without a single post in a year. :O I'd better try and breathe some life back into it, then. Hello, fellow Cymry! We've got elections just round the corner now, not to mention all sorts of referenda. Any idea how you'll be voting?
Not even a whisper of our teams outstanding performance at the Six Nations? I'm surprised. In that case i'll start us off: GRAND SLAM! Get in!
