Ambassador Constans Palogeus enters the mystic lands of the Incas. Expecting that their rex or whoever should reside in the tallest building, he heads over to one that looks suitably fit for a monarch.
The Sapa Inka (Quechua for "the only Inca") hears of strange foreigners from the far North. He is genuinely curious about these people, and dispatches a royal escort to lead their ambassador to what is indeed the "tallest" (and most grand) building in Cusco.
The Mycenaeans have for long been a sea-faring people. It is no wonder that one day, a Mycenaean ship lands at the shores of the Great Inca. The explorer, Sabais, who also holds authority from Queen Telamon to act as a diplomat in any new land she reaches, seeks out the Throne Room and upon finding it, enters. She brings forward a gift for the honourable monarch.
The Sapa accepts the gifts graciously, and invites the sea-faring foreigners and the Roymannian entourage to a grand dinner. No doubt these people have traveled far, and would appreciate a proper meal and rest.
The ambassador and his men gratefully accept the refreshments, following Incan culinary customs as he was taught back on Nostrasinople.
The Mycenaeans are having a jolly good time, enjoying the fine delicacies and pestering the cooks for recipes. Sabais looks over her notes and once more mentally rehearses the deal she has to propose as instructed by the Queen herself, but not before satisfying her taste buds.
After the guests' thirst and hunger have been sated, the Sapa starts to speak. "You have come from far away, from distant lands we have never heard of, and we hope you have enjoyed your stay thus far. But you cannot have come all this way for a meal. What is the purpose for which you are here today?"
Palogeus (hastily) swalls the last morsels and faces the Inca leader. 'Honourable Sepa, I have come on behalf of the Basileus, Nostras Loukas II. He seeks the opening of trade lanes between our empires; we have much to offer, and we're sure this fair land has much to offer. What do you think of this offer?'
Sabais also shifts closer to the Sapa and says,"on behalf of Queen Telamon, Lord of the Medirerranean, we offer you trade and the use of any of our resources. If you deem fit, we are most willing to even embrace each other as allies".
We will gladly accept trade with both of your nations, and an alliance with the Lord of the Mediterranean.
