really diggin the name
a Byzanton-utoman area mod sound great.
Very nice name.
Nice name - did you leave out an 'i' or is it vaguely based on Byzantion?
Checklist: 1. Source Code Mod 2. Finish Map 3. Work Out Troops 4. Implement Other Features 5. Add New Items *Checklist subject to change* Ok, well, until you update it with the mod details, I'll link to the TaleWorlds page: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.p...c,79737.0.html
that's fine, but let's post the spoilers here until we get a private subforum, that way we don't give the goodies away too early.
Right. By subforum you mean like a third party host?
no I mean that I will apply for a private developer's subforum here at twc, it has moderator level access as far as forum organization goes and which will give us also a lot of space to work. We can have an official update thread over at Taleworlds in which we post details from time to time until release.
Ah, ok. Makes sense now. In that case, I haven't found anyone willing to be a coder yet.
i know the basics of working with the module system, bu i have a lot to learn.
yeah I loaded it up a couple weeks ago, I'm going to try and learn to get a module started, not that it's going to help with this, but rather my overall modding knowledge. We still need someone with experience to either direct or work the technical details otherwise it will be a long process.
agreed, have you tried the module system editor? it helps a LOT. some stuff i was scratching my head at is now "oh so that's what thats for." currently building up a personal compilation mod to get me back in the swing of things, formations and gameplay add ons, i think ive come down with mount and blade fever again. supposed there is no way to build an immunity to it
not sure, I check in a minute, I been installing mini mods on top of my Rus XIII, I got polished buildings and landscapes to work (with a few bugs) but couldn't what's his name's color textures map pak to work. I also installed this new armor pack on the form ranks mod, but can't find the new armors.
I've always had a problem with the Module System Editor. Never can get it to work. There is a good tutorial on the module system: http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1101 EDIT: What I'm going to do, is make a very quick version, changing the names, and troops, and what they are armed with, and send it to Armatus and Gothic Knight, sort of as a source code, so we can work from there. I've edited my first post with a checklist.
I'm gonna start looking over the story outline, this is what I've always wanted to do is something of this sort, I won't actually post any story in here until we get a private group with team members only as it would just give too much away. Any ideas on the beginning backdrop for the character?
It would vary, but for one, maybe the character is fleeing from Rome?
Yeah we should have multiple starting points based on the race and profession you pick. So if this is official I'll go ahead and make a private group now so we have a place of private development. This group is actually open to all modding ideas or project proposals.
It's established, those of you who would like to be a part of the inner circle are free to apply. Walls of Byzanton http://www.twcenter.net/forums/group.php?groupid=871
Yeah when im inputing new gameplay scripts and stuff i still use the regular module system. but for troop, item, and party editing i use the module system editor. but yeah it took me awhile to get the hang of it.
