This thread is reserved for the discussion of strategies to use against the often mean-spirited atheists of T.W.C. We must maintain our calm and good will, of course, but we must unite, as theists. Imagine the strength of argument that we might have through using our collective power of mind, scripture, and idealism to gang up on atheists in debate. Just think of the numerous theist wins in Ethos, Mores & Monastica. Perhaps we can convince every single atheist in T.W.C. to become a theist. Oh, and this thread is reserved, also, for introductions and discussion on the subject of debate. By the way, I'm Thomas.

Hold on a second, if we start trying to convert voraciously on TWC, the Atheists will be right about us. As an Orthodox Christian, I try (as I was told) to be a shining lamp among the Darkness of the world. We sway people by our actions, words and deeds. Not by forcing them to convert by Bible (or Koran) bashing! But good idea, Atheists in debate do not relent and try to use scripture to expose the "contradictions" in faith. And they try to insinuate Christians and Muslims take the Koran and Bible literally. They also insinuate that belief in religion is a "mental illness" (something I have seen someone post at least once in every religion debate thread.)
Nikos certainly has a point. The most important thing, in my humble opinion, is to be sure of one's stance inside, the outside then generally follows. Notwithstanding this, I also think that there are several people Monarchist would possibly like to invite, and who would make the discussion certainly interesting. I consider namely: Zenith Darksea Ibn Rushd Carpathian Wolf Motiv-8 Others will propose more certainly.
You must see that I meant the conversion line strictly as a joke. We may be lamps in the darkness, but lamps will attract blind moths, as they do. It is our job to provide the warmth and point the light skyward if the moths do come. Not that I am comparing atheists to insects, of course. I've already invited motiv-8 and Zenith Darksea. May I ask why G-d instead of God?
I do believe that all people here are Abrahams' descendants. This group is exactly for that. This is exactly the reason why I joined. It is only by knowing where we came from (and who we owe to) that we can discern the best road ahead. Let each of you think of a single defining moment in his Nations' history. Sooner or later, the truth will emerge, that it was when they acquired an Abrahamic religion. I shudder to think what would have been the case otherwise. Once along that road, peace and understanding will emerge.
May I ask why G-d instead of God? It's basically an extension of the great care traditional Jews take not to pronounce God's name. To my knowledge there's no Jewish law against writing God's name in other languages than Hebrew, but if some want to take the original commandment even further, meh, their buisness.
