Glad I was able to enlighten you. Yes, SithGalvanizedIron's faction was totally not cool.

@General Maximus: it is no longer called Carthage. It is now rebuilt and renamed as Halhgdh, capital of Denezhdh! How the heck do you even pronounce those names? o_0

    Hal-g-dh

Hal, the a is pronounced like the U in a certain word, 4 letters, synonym to the reproductionary act.
the g is pronounced like the g in goal
dh is pronounced like the d in door.
  4. General Maximus
    General Maximus
I am able to...somewhat...pronounce those names, mainly because Indian languages are very flexible and we can pronounce almost anything in the world.

Well, my faction is from ancient era, and ancient era names are what I will be using.

@Ciloron: Good luck for the war, mate.

    De-nezh-dh

De, the d is pronounced like a regular d like in door, the e as in "the"
nezh, the e as in bed, zh is like sh only with a z, creating a zj sound.
dh pronounced like d in door

I'm sensing a(nother) Lord of the Rings fan has entered European Wars VI.

Oh yeah... Ciloron is a Lord of the Rings fanatic. That is one reason why me and him are friends. It seems like his faction is based off of Dwarves (which would be against the game's rules) due to the names, but he said it is a human nation. But it's humans that like to live underground... and are probably small and bearded. Anyways... it's cool. As usual. WC

Im not a LOTR fanatic, I'm a LOTR extremist
But for this EW game I have decided not to take a LOTR connected faction.

I am eternally damned...but I am also glad to see so many new factions. The game is much more alive now.

@Ciloron I would say I'm a fanatic. Not a fan or extremist, but a fanatic.

You can ask me anything from the Hobbit (read four times, once aloud) or The Lord of the Rings (read it once-and-a-half times). Books or movies, just not The Book of Lost Tales or the Simarllion. Those are as slow as epic poem recited by Treebeard.

@General Maximus . . . . So I noticed. Go for the Balkans after Italy.

Balkans are yours, Aquila my mate. Except Dalmatia, of course.

@ General Maximus I meant was was former-Yugoslavia. You know Rome: Total War? Go from Salona to the north bend of the Danube to Gandalf's lands. Get that area.

@Ciloron what little I have read of the Silmarllion was good, but have you seen the character index? It was five big pages. It was too confusing and the names too similar in places too exotic (I know those lands west of the Blue Mountains/Ered Luin(e?) as asunder the Western Sea, passed away long ago for Middle-Earth.) for me to get into it.

Well yes, I know that land, Dalmatae and Pannoniae. It was owned by the Western Roman Empire, anyway.

Well, history can be an addiction. I have read and learned SO much history of most places around the world, that I have dreams of them, which result in headaches. In other situations, I have hallucinations of historical people and civilizations (for example a Roman Legion guarding my home, etc.) which results in mind-boggling pain in the brain.

History is an addiction. You can learn so many ways about how not to do things. It's a great way to improve the present and make a better future because... face it: most of our ancestors were barbarians. We are much more civilized now.

Anyway... the Silmarillion is AWESOME! All hail J.R.R. Tolkien the Magnificent!

Hey, does anyone know where Gandalf and Kirila went to? I haven't seen them around and they aren't posting moves. WC
  19. General Maximus
    General Maximus
Well, since 3300 BC most of the barbarians from my country were eradicated and western parts were urbanized, and this spread to the rest of India by 1500 BC, I doubt barbarians were around by then here. It was not a peaceful process though, so our history indeed teaches us what to do and what not to do.

I think Gandalf will be back soon, he doesn't abandon the game without notice. As for Kirila, he has been absent for whole week because he had some work to do probably. He notified about this in his Rome II minigame thread I recall, since he made me the substitute GM which I refused (since I am a lazy, sleepy boy enjoying his free-time holidays).

What do you mean by "barbarians" exactly? I never heard of them in India.
