Exactly. It is about having fun. And everyone has his own meaning of fun. As I said, I could've easily expanded into Germania, Africa, Ireland and Scandinavia (I had a chance) and make a sprawling, weird looking Roman Empire that would make me win the game. But I always go for historicity, that is my definition of fun. I can play however I like, I can expand wherever I wish to, just as everyone can. And for that matter, I am also free to not expand where I don't want to.

@Rouge wrong place for that mate, announcements like that should go in the diplomacy thread.
Yes, SonofaBooyah is right. You do that kind of announcement in the Diplomacy Thread, Rogue General. First, you should have established trade with Genoa and then proposed the alliance. Also, trade and alliances only exist if both sides agree to them. Since Satrio Eko doesn't visit this group often I assume you did things via PMs? Diplomacy via PMs should include the Game Master as the recipient. Please send me a copy of your diplomacy PMs. Thanks. WC
Whoops, sorry. I will post in the correct thread, and will send WC a copy of the PMs.
Never having played this type of game before, are we limited to the map? For example, is it possible for me to sail around Africa to Arabia? In real life, at least in theory, it would have been possible for the Prussians to have done so.
No, it is not possible to sail around Africa on this map as it is off the map. If the map was expanded south to include more sea zones and the Cape of Good Hope, then yes. There is a World Wars map that I am working on where you can sail anywhere, even around the world. This turn, our map will be expanded west to include new sea zones and the New World. Since anything off the map is treated as pure black space which is impassable, it is not possible in the game to sail around Africa. Hope this helps. Cheers! WC
Of course it doesn't help. I want to sail around Africa. Now I have to come up with some other way to create some angst for NobleWoman.
"Leave her alone!" She and L-Burna were both smart enough to start in the corner areas of the map to avoid players like you who want to start wars. Why do you want to go out of your way to punish them? You should be concerned with building your empire up and maybe, just maybe, you might catch up to NW in region count. The only thing that would cause a problem for the "corner players" is a new player starting right next to them. Then they would have to work around that player or spend time fighting a war to destroy him/her. WC
Hey, Varangian Cohort: are you ever going to name the fortress you built in Sukhumi region? I've had it listed as "not named" for so long now... Also, I am thinking about changing "Hit Points" to "Ships" concerning the fleets. It will improve role-play for the next sea battle, whenever that happens. Cheers! WC
I dunno whether to name it something silly like 'Bigus Dickus' (really, who'd in their right mind would want to siege that! ) or something serious.
Wow Varangian... What a name. I'm already imagining the disturbing role-play I can do with that name... Silly was what European Wars IV was. It had a "Tsardom of Lollyland" ruled by "Tsar Chuppa Chupp"; a nation called the "Unity" where a Big Brother "Autarch" ruled by having a special mineral rock implanted in everyone to make them strong mindless zombies; and there was another nation that worshiped demons where its people hoped they would go onto Hell when they died. So on that note... please choose a serious name. WC
I'm sure the Gandharan warrior women wouldn't mind besieging it
I am not sure I understood you guys, but maybe that is because I am a 16 year old who forces himself to be innocent of these things. Does that fort name mean something funny? Oh, and Warrior Cat you forgot about that drug dealer tribe. Hilarious faction, it was.
@Maximus Are you talking about the Al-shabaab milita or something like that?
Al-shabaab was not funny. It was directly based off of the terrorist organization and the player was very mean. Originally Posted by SonofaBooyah I'm sure the Gandharan warrior women wouldn't mind besieging it I'm not sure that NobleWoman will find that funny. @Maximus: you seriously don't know what we're talking about? And in answer to your question... it depends. WC
Yep, I meant that faction. And I seriously don't know what you guys are talking about. Is it some 'adult' thing?
Not really... It's more of a teenage boy thing that is slightly inappropriate. Let us forget about it and just talk about the game. I'm glad everyone likes my role-play idea. Cheers, everyone! WC
Aye, it's just a silly immature joke. Ignore it @WC Well , I didn't realise it was an actual terrorist group. Now I see why you were so pissed at him...
Ah, I really didn't know that name was something real and bad. Now I can get the reason for your hate towards his faction. Well, I am very glad that Ciloron is back. But I was just about to set sail for Carthage...
