    11-20= So-So
    21-30= Regular
    31-40= Fine
    41-50= Good
    51-60= Very Good
    61-70= Excellent
    71-80= Great
    81-90= Master
    91-100= Godlike

    Some Skill ideas:

    Skills Archery; (Archery Rolls)
    Melee Attack (Melee attack rolls)
    Melee Defense (Melee defense rolls)
    Strategy (General Battle Rolls)
    Speech (Diplomatic Rolls)
    Income (+ Money every year)
Defense (+ Defense rolls in battles)
Attack (+ Defense rolls in battles)

And I also think we should have traits. Every char would have 2 good traits and one bad

Traits Ideas Agressive Leader: +5 Strategy,+5 Attack
    Defensive Leader: +5 Strategy,+5 Defense
    Swordsman: +10 Melee Combat
    Archer: +10 Archery
    Strategist: +10 Strategy
    Goldmaker: +10 Income

    Bad Traits Ideas
    Rusher: -10 defense
    Craven: -10 attack
    Bad Swordsman: -10 Melee Combat
    Bad Archer: -10 Archery

Some Traits can be obtained during some quests. For example, if Barahir managed to slain Glaurung he would get something like this

Glaurunga Glaurunga (Slayer of Glaurung); This man has slained Glarung, the Great Worm, the first dragon

+20 Meele Combat ( or +20 Archery, it depends how did you slain it),
    +10 Strategy

Maybe if you have some items it will bring your skill up, For example

    Items Elven Bow: +10 archery
    Dwarven Mail: +10 Melee Defense

And if you get for example the Dragon-helm (or some epic item) they will have unique skills,

Dragon-Helm Dragonhelm: +35 Melee Defense, immunity towards fire
Please give your opinion, and possibly add to this.

    Would evil players have skills?

I plan to build evil character skills to correspond with Beleriand character skills.

    Now here's a good question:
What shall we do with characters who start out strong in the start date?
Most of the kings and lords picked are as thus.

For the sake of a balanced game I propose only a small trait, like for example

"Son of Feanor", This character is a son of Feanor, and therefor is bonded to the Oath of Feanor
    +5 strategy +5 ofensive melee

    Good solution.

Yet also being a son of Feanor was detriment. They were hotheaded and cursed and shunned.

bonded to the Oath of Feanor
If ever a Silmaril leaves Angbad they are forced to retrieve it, be it from enemy or friend

    That is true.

    It's just an example Delenda.

Finarfin's sons will get something like extra patience and some charisma boost,
while Fingolfin's sons will get more stalwart bonuses.
I think Feanor's sons will get charge bonuses and "taking the initiative" bonuses.

In this case, since "Sons of Feanor" is more of the name of a house rather than just literally only his immediate sons, any sons of these characters will be considered part of the House of Feanor.
Same with the other house-based traits.
Other characters that are more stand-alone will get their corresponding bonuses too.

What will thingol get? Defence? Seeing as he doesn't really move from Doriath?

He'll get something to do with him being the only Sindarin elf to go to Valinor, and some other stuff.
