Can anyone please post what are they saying? I know nothing of German... So please, halp!
"Throw all your valuables down here and we will go in peace!" - "Such a quick reaction I didn't anticipate!"
Ah. Okay.
I was looking at the Empire forum lately and it indeed suprises me that even though the game gives you (in my opinion at least) at lot less to rp with, I found very much excellent rp AARs, which made me think, how can I contribute to this? At the moment not yet but when BtR 4 is finished and the moorish campaign is finished perhaps I will mingle in this snake pit of 18th century AARs, have you( the more experienced members of our group) also been against the new game at first but after reading those excellent AARs that do exist felt that the game isn't that bad?
Hey guys, don't forget to vote for your 2 favorite stories in TOTW!! http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=262299 Spoiler Alert, click show to read: This is in no way an advertisement to vote for my story, I shall not tell you which is mine so I'm certainly not doing anything wrong!
I wasn't against the game at first, I thought that the heaps of dung thrown around may have been mistakes in PR by CA/Sega on one hand, expectations of the fans unfulfilled on the other, and combined with a new engine that wasn't as clean as it should be. So I wasn't put off the game, but that is also because I don't have it yet. So, I'm happy that good AAR's have come up, but for me they are separate from whether or not the game is good or bad.
Be honest about this. After many months I decided to take another stab at writing AARs. Is the serious type my thing, or should I go back to the style of Hegemony of the Balkans (which got third place in one of the earlier AAR competitions)? Be brutally honest, I won't infract you
A new AAR? I'll check it out.
It is far easier to write a good serious AAR. There are lots of unfunny-comedies on these boards. Good comedy is hard to write (like good poetry) and even if you achieve it, people with the wrong background may not fully understand the humour and take the text literally.
I find it actually the other way around Juvenal just throw in some 300 oneliners or English misspellings and you have yourself a comedy AAR where as epic writers like you and me have to think of plots and keep track of everything that's moving in our AARs No offence to all you comedy writers of course
Legio, its awesome, however I dont like the mod. Hypefest is all it ever was.
I second that except I think mod is fascinating
Hey guys! I finally got my AAR up. "Of Destiny and Duty: A Galatian AAR" http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...97#post5482897 It's actually a multi-AAR to give it greater authenticity. I think it ties together pretty well. Anyways, I just thought I'd put it up here in case anybody's interested. Cheers!
I've read it and I enjoyed it, don't understand it yet though but it has potential
Ah, splendid! How much have you read? Let's see... if you posted the below 2 weeks ago... Yeah that was before all things were revealed. In the next couple of days it will all make sense. The beginning is all a framework to make the story believable and unique. I be actually starting a campaign soon: RTW (EB) Pontus.
Whew! I've completed the Eastern Eagle! Thanks to those who read it!

I'm crafting out a new AAR based on the ERE using the Deus lo Vult mod. I'd really like some feedback from it, if anyone would like to do me the honour of reading my work then please follow this link. Thanks, CdL
CdL, feedback is coming and I hope you'll like it.
Hey guys. Added a discussion in this group about how to take screenshots.
