btw a word to all the local mods in the AAR fora, molls, PW, Musty, Hazel, anyone else I forgot~I will be moving a bunch of threads from the ETW fora to the ETW AAR fora, so could you please clean up the threads from spammy ETW posts after I move the thread with the AAR there? And sorry to taint the AAR fora with the spam too

I do find it daft how someone opens up a French AAR placeholder and the first reply is just "france sux". It seems with the huge influx of people going to the Empire forums there's a lot following the link to the AAR ones.

Just out of evil manipulation interest, involving sheeps' bladders to prevent earthquakes harmless curiosity, how long does it take you to make an update/chapter/page?

Episodes in my current AAR probably take around five hours each on average, and I try to do one a week. It seems like a long time, but there is a lot to do:

• Playing the game, and taking screenshots
• Compositing the picture panels (and picture cleanup)
• Thinking about plot, waiting for ideas, writing, rewriting, embellishing, checking for consistency, proof-reading
• Historical research (trying to get names, dates and places right)
• Artistic research (i.e. looking for illustrations on Google Images)
• Editing illustrations to fit the story
• Replaying the game to get screenshots I didn't know I needed before writing the story
• Uploading and posting

The actual game-playing is such a small part that my campaign has only progressed about 65 turns since last August.
