Yes, keep writing Juv, we love your tales. I think they are not too difficult to understand if someone pays close attention.
Yes, but a lot of them, particularly his ToTW entries, require some strong general knowledge. For example, one of his was based on a protagonist of a game Castle Wolfenstein, and another was on the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand that sparked WW1. You'd have to at least have a bit of knowledge to understand those references. The writing though is brilliant. I know I couldn't write anything close to something that good. Hence why I used a cop-out and wrote random comedy
Ha, ha! I have played so much Doom (thirteen years now) it never even crossed my mind that people wouldn't understand the references. Also it was written in a hurry and didn't flow properly. I actually fixed it for my own records (how sad is that). Anyway, since discovering writing I think that it is good for the soul, so I recommend we all keep it up. @Naturalist - looks like your Tancred story has caught the public imagination, it is romping away in the vote. Congrats!
It's because of the smiley in the voting option! lol
Smileys = WIN As proved by that AAR a couple competitions ago that was smiley spam, which almost won. [Pity it didn't, for no other reason than the lols - Well, I found it funny!] Just a reminder all, PUT THE TOTW COMPETITIONS IN THE SIGGYS!
Is anyone out there? or even in here? All the ladies in the house say whoololololooo
Pardon, what exactly do they say?
ahahah now that really cracked me up
This leads to the question: Are there even ladies in the house? And what do the gentlemen say? Very tricky.:hmmm: Especially if it is of similar complexity like what the ladies would say - supposed there are any
a) nope, only drag queens. b) ... .... ..... Bonusquestion: Anyone knows some Fallout(3) AARs? :>
Apropos "drag queens", perhaps we could drag queens into the house, so we aren't that short on ladies anymore?
I was curious about the recent banning of Naturalist, but looking at the Tribunal it seems likely he was made entirely of fuzzy-felt. :hmmm:
Yes, I think its safe to conclude that. Saying "Can I get a ToTW victory transferred now that i'm unbanned? - My alt had it" isn't really a good idea.
fuzzy is king and I will gladly "grant" him his TotW win, I mean wth he wrote the story so why not? Can't wait till he's back and ready to TWC btw, Juvenal what on earth (or rather space) is happening with your Avatar?
Poor thing's been suffering from winter snuffles, but the new hood, snow boots and electrically heated cod-piece seem to be just the trick - oh, I suppose you can't see the boots can you?
No I can't see them, but hey I can imagine them with my vivid fantasy. Are you up to the TotW 18b Challenge ?
Nothing interesting has come to me yet, but I still have until Sunday for it to all ferment in my subconscious. :hmmm:
fuzzy is king and I will gladly "grant" him his TotW win, I mean wth he wrote the story so why not? Can't wait till he's back and ready to TWC It is true that the fuzz wrote that story, however he used an alt do this (and evade suspension), which is verboten under the ToS. Moreover using alts is detrimental to any online competition, consider that it can be used to vote for yourself. Therefore Naturalist will be registered on the Leaderboard as Naturalist.
oh come on PW, as long as no Mod complains about this, why should we take it so serioussssss ? Augur Lucky Ferine allowed me to transfer the TotW Win, by the way.
I've looked at the pic'o'the'week but haven't managed to come up with anything mysterious/mindblowing. Also, Rise of the Eastern Kingdom might get a defibrillator to the chest. If I manage to get my life into a semblance of order and stop running around like a headless chicken...
