so, heres a place where we can tell our stories of how MLP "got us". For me My GF forced me to watch it with her... needless to say I didnt go in with an open mind. But after watching a couple episodes with her... I found myself watching a couple more... on my own. It was then that I realized I was a "Brony" I love this picture too... explains everything well
I was converted after Peasantsuck's original thread. Watched a few episodes, saw the huge community then watched the rest of the episodes in a 2 day marathon.....BAM....one more brony assimilated into the herd.
When PeasantsSuck invaded the Chat thread with all his mlp stuff he convinced me to watch the first episode. Here's my reaction/review: Originally Posted by Princess Celestia Fine. I'll watch it. It took another 6 or so episodes before I became what I am today. Fabulous.
Someone on another forum showed me YouTube episodes a few months ago.
Um I had the worst hangover after some uni party. And was basically in bed an entire day, and needed something to watch. And then this pony thread showed up in the arts, so I went "What the heck" and watched the first episode posted by PeasantsSuck, then another, and another, at the end of the day i had watched from 1 to nr 17, and i did the rest the day after. Best. Hungover. Ever.
I saw all the pony hype adn was like: 'wtf is this?'. Then suddenly Cahoma becomes a brony! Which really prompted me to see what was up, so I watched first and second eps and got totally hooked. The show is good, coming from the same ppl as PPG (I loved that when I was small), so it's no great surprise.
I really have no idea what prompted me to watch the show. I couldn't get any sleep, so I got out of my bed and started watching. I suppose it was just seeing the massive numbers of memes to come out of it.
There was Show called death battle and it had Rainbow dash vs Starscream Immediately I began searching for anything remotely Related to Rainbow dash Suffice to say that I found My Little pony and ITS SO AWESOME!
Yeah, Got Curious. I thought like 'lolwut? Why's this so popular? Thingies look cute though. :3' Then I saw some captioned pictures, some YT parodies and sketches... Then I watched episode 1... and then I was like... THIS IS SO AWESUM!!! /)^ɛ^(\
Read Cupcakes due to link from a similiar themed fanfic on the My Little Pony section of FanFiction.net. It didn't bother me,because reading things like that was something I was used to,being a member of Fanfiction. In fact I used to (and still do) go to sections for kiddie shows and read the M rated stories for fun. This was in July. Forget about it until October. The first pony video I saw was that remix of Fluttershy smashing a bucket on Twilight's head. You know from "The Return of Harmony?" I got there from looking up videos about memes and the one I saw before that was the original "Your face" in fact. Was linked to several similar videos and continued watching out of boredom. Eventually I looked up the first episode to see what it was about. By the end of part 1,these were my thoughts. "Wow Nightmare Moon looks cool! Wait,no she's a pony! Ponies aren't cool...right? Might as well watch part 2. At least that way I could have said I'd at least seen a full episode." (After both parts.) That was pretty awesome! I mean they were the Elements! It was sweet too that Celestia and Luna made up. Plus Fluttershy is so cute and...Do...I like...ponies? I've seen the series now and it's one of my favorite shows out there alongside Regular Show.
I was already a fan of cartoons, so when I learned of this show and its fan base, I figured I was going to like it at least a little. So I'm not one of those "I thought I was going to hate it" people.
I'm one of those "I thought I was going to hate it" people. I had recently joined a new forum, and most of the people there watched the show, so I said "Why not" and watched a few episodes. I liked the first season, but it wasnt until the second season that I became a Brony. So..... Peer pressure is what made me watch MLP.
I heard Bronys got lots of rep and then Poooosan said hed rep me if I watched every Episode, fell in love with it thereafter.

At first I thought why on earth are the forums are over run with ponies (and a few others not just this forum) but then when Twilight gave me the link I thought oh well must give this a chance. And after the first two episodes I wanted to watch more. The way it got me its the only show that has a good moral lesson at the end.
