Hey guys, back after a week off. Real life interferes, what you gonna do. So, whats been happening?? Vojvoda, you are the one who always gives me the best and most detailed description of the latest news.
I only wish there were some good news for a change Signals coming from top UN levels that the UN would approve Eulex under the conditions Belgrade insists upon: 1. UN security council approval - 2. status neutrality and 3. refraining from the implementation of AhtiSSari plan... B92 - News - Politics - Tadić: EULEX compromise possible Sounds great in theory - but in practice, well, it's best explained by US official Daniel Fried : Amb. Fried: EULEX deployment crucial for Kosovo independence ... In this particular case, Fried has more credibility then Tadić - however perverse that may sound So, I fear that the scenario is next: Eulex officials promise not to implement the wretched AhtiSSari, and to be neutral about the status - Belgrade gives a signal to the UN that it would accept even Ban's aproval acting as the GENSEC ( I still can't believe that the Russians would fall for this, or would they :hmmm:? ) - and Eulex is cool with official Belgrade. Then in few months or so - Eulex starts implementing the AhtiSSari under a different name or something like that - Belgrade keeps silent (as it's silent right now) - and the KLA "state" gets infiltrated in the Serb communities in the north - central and south Kosmet! My only hope is that the Serbs in Kosovo will remain strong and defiant against such a scheeme - or any other scheme from whatever kitchen... They recently signed a mass petition against Eulex and delivered it to the gov. in Belgarde - but the gov. is arrogant as ever towards them, seeing how their leaders are from the oposition block.
Me too, something will change. It cannot go on like this forever. I am not familiar with that EULEX, if its against Serbian interest in Kosovo then it should not be accepted. Government should get stronger and then we can present more united front towards the so-called state of Kosovo. We will see what is going to happen, but situaiton in the world will change and Kosovo will be liberated once again, I have absolute faith in that!!! And thanks for the news, and I agree that we should talk about politics here, thats why this thread was made in the first place.
Interesting link for people unfimiliar with history and cultural heritage of Kosovo: http://www.kosovo.net/home.html
Good link, we definitely need more of them. So that people who are unfamiliar with the situation can see what the real truth is.
The Episcopate of Raska&Prizren really has quality PR - not only this website of theirs, but lots of concrete actions and lobbying in the US... unfortunately their message rarely gets across via the western mainstream media - and it's not even that they cant afford media coverage, but rather they are suffering a blocade from the mainstreem...
Welcome new members
great site clan.
Hey, we should not allow this group to die out or to become inactive. This group has to be visited every day by all of us, that way the forum is told the truth about Kosovo and the fight goes on.
I agree.... one way to attract attention is via the "Kosovo thread" in the mudpits - but we should think of other means of spreading the word (since that thread is slandered by many of our adversaries here)... regular visits and posting new materials here is certainly what we should be doing.... Is it possible to organize some live debates in the future - so we can invite the undecideds? Or maybe some other forms of campaining? Any other ideas anyone?
I think that most of the politically active members have already take their side in this matter, but there is huge percent of people who are: a)not interested of this matter att all b)neutral c)unwilling to publicly express their oppinions for various reasons ( I think that those people are majority, I know a lot of people who privately support our group but don't won't to join cause we are labeled by some other people as mad Serbian nationalists , baby eaters, Hitler's offsprings and simmilar) I agree that we should do something to promote our cause around, some nice course of history of Kosovo and it's cultural heritage would do a trick.
Yeah, definitely to visit and post in those two threads about Kosovo in the Mudpit. Realistically speaking, I think that we made our point so far and we won all the debates when it comes to those threads in the Mudpit. Seems to me whats needed is some sort of outside event which immediately triggers debate about the issue, remember when Karadzic got arrested, it sparked such a heated arguments that lasted up until few weeks ago. Because those outside events are not up to us, we will have to keep momentum on our own and constantly come back to those threads and wait for the new surge about the issue. For now we can campaign in the Mudpit and Academy, and in this group. And I agree with the proposal for history of Kosovo and its cultural heritage to be promoted, and finally the point is: we have to make sure that Kosovo is not forgotten and accepted as a done deal, because it is not and it is our responsibility do do so!!!
The problem is that some people ( me ) are tired of repeating same stuff over and over again every time when something about Kosovo come up, I was thinking about opening thread about Kosovo in Vestigia but I realized that I will have to post same stuff that I already posted for 100 times and that I will have to discuss with people about things that I discussed for 1000 times, this is good example of that: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=198621
I know what you mean, that Kosovo thread in Mudpit goes now for 7 or 8 installments. But still, we have to be on top of the things. To keep an eye on all the sub-forums and as soon as something comes up that will re-energize the debate, we have to be there. Its excellent thing that there is more then a enough of us, we just have to be ready and prepared.
Yeah and willing to discuss, I swear each time when Kosovo get's actual there is single scenario: some guy: Albanians were allways majority in Kosovo/no link us: no they became majority some 100 years ago, link:... some guy: they allways lived in Kosovo/no link us:no in mediaeval time there were no Albanians in Kosovo, link... some guy: Albanians are Illyrians therefore they were in Kosovo before Serbs/no link us:it's disputable that Albanians are descendants of Illyrians and even if they are what has that to do with Kosovo,link... some guy:you Serbs killed 1,000,000,000 Albanians and they have right to have Kosovo us:no total number of killed Albanians is 2,5oo of whom 850 suspected victims of war crimes; Albanians in Kosovo killed 2,ooo Serbs since 1999, they are commiting genocide over the Serbs some guy: there are no killed Serbs in Kosovo us:yes there are,link... some guy: Serbian propaganda, you are all Serbian nationalists and you hate Muslims!!! Ali G: these Serbian nationalist are making me laugh, no one is affraid of you any more... and it's like each and every time, boring isn't it? Groundhog's day...
You are legend, I just couldn't stop laughing. The way you described the participants is just legendary. There is some guy, there is us, and there is unavoidable Ali G. That is so true. Honestly, that is true, but still. When something comes up, we will be there. Once again, this was classic.
reminds me the name dispute of macedonia, between greece and FYROM. clandestino u expressed it right!
Ali G is actually doing us a favor... but he sure as hell is annoying I also got two new patients of my own - two Baliya's from Slovenia spamming my profile with nonsense, but it's no fuss to shake 'em off with solid arguments - (check out the conversations) Anyway, the best thing we can do is to keep annoying all of them back with truth, truth and more truth.... but, again, about the tactics we should take... :hmmm:? All of your suggestions are good, but given this spam horde we're up against, we should be as innovative as possible... Here's one far off suggestion, it may sound impossible, but anyway, here it is... How about we plan a short excursion to the 4 biggest monasteries and Serb enclaves in Kosovo - and we make it an interactive one, meaning we post video and photo material as we go (the internet is available in the 2 of the bigest enclaves) on a thread we make in the "Vestigula" section, and ask for responses from non-bias people - while strictly ignoring spammers and trolls! Presuming that we can gather up a group of 3-5 people (it would be even better to travel in smaller numbers), the trip itself is neither too expensive (shouldn't cost more than 150euro per person - which completely covers all travel expences and food for 3 to 5 days - a place to sleep over is not a problem to arange for free) nor too risky. Although a certain degree of risk is implied, I can tell you from my own experience of frequent traveler to Kosovo that, assuming you keep a low profile and travel via the local (Serb) transportation with KLA plates - everything is fine. So, the plan would be: first we make the arangements between us (somewhere out of TWC of course) - then we make the thred in "vestigula to announce it and wait for the word of our trip to spread - than we make the trip and post the material. It's implied that we don't show our faces here prior to departure and during the trip - for the thread would atract a number of Shqiptars all too happy to meet us down there (even though it's highly unlikely that they could, since we'd stick to the safe routs and as far away from their ork-pits as possible). So, again, I know it's a long shot - but for those of us living in Serbia, it's by no means impossible - on the contrary, it's close and it's cheap and the risk assesment is good.... So, what are your general thoughts about this?
HELLO MY SERBIAN FRIENDS FROM ATHENS
Little ambitious I think, altough it's great idea, I planned to visit Kosovo for a long time with one of my friends who goes there frequently but there is allways problem of time ( I work six days in week ) and money ( 150 e ain't that much, but I spent my last dinar paying for MA studies and now I'm in debts ).
