well I just bought Victoria, Revolutions is only $10 so I'll probably buy that too soon, just figure I'll play vanilla first to try to get the hang of it and general idea of it. I picked that to get because I figured it's got the deepest domestic gameplay and also a cool combat system since I thought it'd be kinda like a watered down version of the HoI one. Anyone, I love the time period so I hope I'll get into it.
its not as hard as people make you think it is
start a campaign, do some money cheats until you get the hang of the economy, and superpowerdom awaits

The best thing are long ~4 player LAN games of EU3, which I've been able to engage in.

Just got EUIII complete, and have been having a lot of fun playing as Brandenburg I've held the last two terms as Emperor, and it looks like I'll hold the next. I've also slowly been expanding to take all of the lands with Saxon cultures, including Pommerania, Thuringia, Saxony, Messen (sp?), Armata, etc.

I also have EU:R, which is okay...

Yeah, I got EU3 complete for Christmas, but I've been reading the various forums a lot the past week or so, and I refuse to support a company with such stupid repulsive fans, so this'll be the last game of theirs I buy. Well I didn't buy it, but you know.

By not buying it I take you mean it was a gift?

I played Europa Universalis III for nearly a year, but it's always been pretty slow on my best computer, my gaming laptop (even that is starting to show its age). I recently bought Europa Universalis II in November, and I love it. It's able to run on my office desktop computer (which is getting to be pretty old, it's almost been five years now) very smoothly, without lag.

Anyway, after playing for a while, I've discovered the 476 AD Scenario.

    Check it out here: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...ad.php?t=86737

Set during the end of the Western Roman Empire (you still get to play them) under Romulus Augustulus, and goes all the way into the 500s and 600s, and to the end of the Dark Ages.

I highly recommend it to any player of Europa Universalis II.

I can run EU3 fine on my now nearly six year old computer, I don't get why you'd have issues with it.

Neither do I. It gets laggy every now and then, but nothing severe.

Do any of you have AMD dual core? cause that's known to cause problems with older games, especially with games either lagging or the animations going fast and/or jogging..
