Please refer first the faction tiers. These two factions are significantly strong and essential as a balance of power in the game. So unless you have a die-hard favorite faction --> I would suggest you to pick any of this

Russian Empire ...

Since everyone's picking colors now, I've started on this map to show the claimed territory so far.

Only problems I had were that Russia's northern and eastern parts (and Scandinavia) are cut-off in the "official" map m_1512 posted, and that the Ottoman Empire in that map is very convoluted. So if the Tsar and Sultan would like to change their borders, let me know Also, the Spanish Triumvirate () needs to pick a color before I put them on the map.

And to make everyone's life easier, since this is obviously not exact borders, consider any map I make like this to be completely unofficial. It's just for getting a general idea of who owns what. I'd suggest keeping track of what territory you own instead of relying on this map. If you're wondering, the problems that could come from using this would be nasty stuff like territorial disputes and wars just because someone (i.e. me ) drew a line wrong.

Most of North Africa should be Ottoman, save for the area of Morocco

Caucasus is under Ottoman rule in the 17th century?

Those are your borders as far as I can see in m_1512's map. You're free to claim anything else you want, though.
And yeah, at least according to the official map, the Caucasus was mostly under Ottoman control. 'though, now that you mention it, I seem to have given them too much in the north... Will be corrected in the next few minutes.

EDIT: Updated to correct Russian and Ottoman borders in the Caucasus region... and gave Russia it's historical territory.
