yeah, I might want to do something about this and other forums if I become an MP... sorry to disappoint though, I have no ambition in that direction right now. Many reasons, it would mean resigning from the job I love, because i'm in the civil service, but also because to win anything but a safe seat, you have to actively campaign day after day, and you can't seriously do that and hold down a job. Its a serious financial commitment, because to have a realistic chance, you have to be able to afford to be unemployed for about a year before the election, or alternatively, be in something like property management that doesn't require you to be in the office 8 hours a day. There aren't many jobs you can work your day to day campaigning around. My goal is to get made a peer and be defence secretary from the Lords lol.
