For me, I think that the Barbarossa campaign is my favorite just because I really like German history. I particularly like the Barbarossa's march level. I don't really like the age of empires 3 just because the cutscenes are pretty cheesy and the gameplay, for me, is not very fun.
Mongols was pretty good as well the Aztec one.
My favourite campaign from Aoe1 was the Babylonian one, but the ones with Caesar&Augustus were really nice, too. The German one was pretty hard, but still very enjoyable, as well as all the Aoe2 campaigns. However, the Aoe3 ones suck, really.
i enjoy El Cid and the Gengis Khan ones... in the first i like to play being some kind of hero, its fun when people come talk to you... in the second, love the way things turn around, u always start small and when some events trigger u get some bonuses that boosts ur armies and u get ready to sack stuff...
I agree that the Aztec and mongol campaigns are very fun. I also agree that the Caesar campaign was very fun especially alesia. The triggers in aoe2 really make them the best.
To be honest, I didn't like the AoE I campaigns very much. If there was one I preferred though, I'd have to say the Greek one. For AoE II the El Cid, Attila, Barbarossa, and Joan of Arc campaigns were great, and I liked the Warchiefs campaigns in AoE III a lot as well.
For aoe2,my favorite campaign was the saladin and el cid campaign for aoe3 i like all
I actually liked Saladin except for that damn second one.
I'm probably the only one but my favourite is probably AOM's. Completely over the top and unhistorical but a hell of a lot of fun, and it just fit the game perfectly. That said, I would have preferred they went with multiple historical campaigns for AOE3 like they did for the first two games. The Asian Dynasties ones were pretty good though, particularly the Japanese and Indian ones.
AOM campaign is great fun, but out of the AOE? Either Ghengis or Barbarossa for me.
