Davide, is the average Italian actually "pious" (Not to the point of being priest-like but enough to attend church) or do half them actually don't believe in a God?
I m laic. Italy is laic not catholic... even if in small villages of the south, they are still believers... italy has a big problems of priest wannabes... infact tons of towns has "foreign priests".. in my opinion, ceterum censeo vaticanem esse delendam".. i dont really give a bout them... specially when they talk about internal politics of italy or abroad one...it's not their role.. you do the priest or the politician... not both.. they have to chose what to do in their lives..

Oh, and Davide, what is a "LAIC" or "laic?"
derives from laicism... means that even if Christianity headquarter is here, we dont have a state religion, we believe in the liberty of thinking indipendently from what religion says etc... if someone has a better definition of laicism.. post it please..
