Khomeini's grandfather had been an Iranian expatriate living in the same part of India as my family LOL . Worse still he was hailed as the Mahdi when clearly he was far from that.... For the benefit of those who are living in the Islamic Republic,here :
Mind if I ask a question? It is clear to me that many of us in this group dislike Khomeini, myself included. Would those willing please share their reasons? If I see some of you respond, then I will post my reasons for disliking Khomeini and his regime. Other then that, I had something else to ask, kind of the same topic: What is some members' here opinion of the Pahlavi dynasty? Would they support a restoration in the event the Loyalists (and they do exist, quite numerous too) can take advantage of the chaos caused by a hypothetical collapse of the current regime? Well I meet a few members of the Pahlavi family more than 10 years ago,but I feel that they weren't good at all,especially with SAVAK which was trained by the CIA.
The Pahlavy dynasty made to many mistakes and led the country into an not from the people supported way. Just look at the prison of evin. In the time of Shah were 1000 prisoners there - now its more than 30000!
LOL yeah,well the Pahlavis tried to use the memory of the Achaemenid empire to enhance their legitimacy but this backfired since at the same time they were favouring heavy Westernisation in Iran.
