Actually, Svensksoldat ("Swedish soldier"?) just reminded me: what's that wooden horse that gets burnt down every year? I've been trying to look that up but not knowing anything about it that makes it pretty tricky to track down on Wiki.
Hmm...I can't recall... all I can currently think about are small Scandinavian horse-crafts that make for fine collectible/souvenirs... I think I should order some more online... Does anyone know in what city the largest single Dala horse is located? (as pictured above) And what is the purpose of such a large Dalahast?

Yep Gävle is my hometown, people try to burn the hay-goat every year with variable success. Its actually a crime to do that so it isn't without risk. The big Dala horse is in Avesta. I guess its purpose is to show that it is the original home of the Dala horse.
They didn't burn it last year?
