Fellow Stalkers, I have some very sad news. http://www.vostokgames.com/en/page/about-us The development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 has been frozen, as Vostok Games (the successor to GSC Game World) was unable to secure the IP from its current owner. Vostok Games are now working on a free-to-play MMOFPS called Survarium. It looks very much like a spiritual successor to S.T.A.L.K.E.R, as it shares the same post-apocalyptic setting and dreary atmosphere, although it looks like it will be set outside of the zone. While I wish Vostok the best of luck with Survarium, and hope it turns out to be a faithful successor to S.T.A.L.K.E.R, I think we should all raise a toast to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, and hope the three games we have give us many more good memories in the years to come.
Honestly, I'm okay with there being only 3 STALKER games. It only further cements its legendary status and impact on gaming.

Indeed. It's called Survarium now, though I still play Stalker. Just finished X-16 and off to Red Forest. Using Supermod 2.4. There are still many awsome mods coming and made so Hell yeah!
I never played I mod for STALKER , I don't know how to install them, but I played all three games and they are just excellent ! What was at the end the problem with STALKER 2 ? I know that they couldn't release as somebody else had the rights to the names. ?
