Ah, another place to put my feet up while I have a drink and listen to some great music. I'm a BIG fan of YES and marillion. RIP: Richard Wright - Pink Floyd Keyboardist.
Hello everyone. For the first time ever I've just browsed the list of groups. And I can't stay away from this one. My very favourite is Deep Purple; Jon Lord is my personal idol and the sound of a Hammond organ gives me shivers down my spine. My favourite instrument of all. And in my opinion the 70s were the very best decade for rock music - and I didn't even live then, yet. Most of today's stuff bores me to death. Three minute packs of loud pointless noise don't constitute good music in my world.
Favourite Bands: Yes marillion Tangerine Dream Emerson Lake Palmer Jethro Tull Genesis (esp Gabriel years) Vangelis Plus more eclectic music such as: Brian Eno Vaughan Williams Anoir Brahim Arvo Part Steve Howe Steve Hackett Dead Can Dance Not Drowning Waving
Ketz I agree.
can the misfits be clasiffied as clasick punk rock ?
btw i love led, pink F , John L , The Beattles , and more
@Ketz...i agree too about '70s...
Oh yeah good times.
@Ketz That's what I think.
Started a funny thread, c'mon guys over and laugh at me and at yourselves: The First Song that made you go crazy / shake on the floor / headbang / act like a maniac
I am listening right now to Alan Jackson.
Only seven days left till the release of marillion's new double album "Happiness Is The Road"
They just don't make music like they used to. Except for a few bands like Porcupine Tree and maybe Tool. Favorite bands; King Crimson Yes Soft Machine Gong Egg/Azachel(Uriel) Led Zep Hendrix and ELP were good in they're early years
Pink Floyd...any era, any album, anything. Just...wow.
Anyone knows Living Colour? Just saw the third live show with them. I think they qualify as 'classic', especially with this AWESOME song, listen to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ5SVDYBNrY
Yeah, it's a great one. I don't think quite "Classic," but for sure in that vein.
Hey you know the new AC/DC album just came out today!
Come and discuss fellas: The new Guns N Roses album
sorry Power my friend...but i dont like G'N'R...
I've been a huge fan of Guns'n Roses back when I was around 14 years old, and I still think all albums up to "Use Your Illusion 2" contain examples of really great songwriting. However, I somewhat don't dare to listen into this new album... I just don't dare to... Don't ask me why.
