Hendrix is great. But I've always wondered, was he really high during concerts? I have the Live at Monterey 1967 DVD, and I've seen him at Woodstock on TV. He makes absolutely no sense when he talks.
Everybody was high in the late '60's, except Nixon. Hendrix is the GOD of rock guitar. He will never be usurped.
One of my old camera technicians was definitely not high. He once told me about him driving Out of the Isle of man festival just as Jimi took to the stage. I think he was a folk purist though.

'67 - '85: (The) Pink Floyd. '85 - Now: CD re-releases rule. Everything from pure Blues to Supertramp. Wolfmother seem quite cool, a Led Zep for a new generation - or at least a similar feel.
