I love some of the songwriting that Gn'R showed back in their good times. With "Estranged" being my all-time favourite by them (while I think "Appetite for Destruction" is the best album all-around). In the first year at the gymnasium (one of the three high-school variants in Germany; it's "Gymnasium" in German, and I don't know if it uses a different word in English), I played "Civil War" on the piano on my first of the music evenings in the school auditorium that took place every half year... Got some nice compliments on the school court the next day.
Hey guys, does anybody know whose song is Hallelujah? I have a version by deep purple but I can't find any reference to it in wikipedia or other music sites like last.fm.
Deep Purple's "Hallelujah" is Deep Purple's. Of course, there are more songs bearing the title, but this exact song is by Deep Purple. Later covered by Blind Guardian.

Thanks Ketzerfreund though the answer came a bit late. I asked because I read somewhere that it was a cover, also I consider it one of deep purples greatest songs (subsequently one of the greatest songs generally) but I havent found it mentioned anywhere.
