Recently, I have been reading that actual research has been put into implementing powered exoskeletons to help augment the role of infantry in today's modern battlefield. Japan has been making great advances in this field, demonstrating the capabilities of powered exoskeletons for civilian/federal use. Being a fan of Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers, he demonstrates a future where the Mobile Infantry is the main fighting force for the Terran Federation. After reading it, I can actually see the powered exoskeleton as great tool for the battlefield. Does anyone agree that this should be further explored, or is it simply a waste of time?
I think it should be further explored. They should offer better protection, from enemy, wastelands, and maybe even if they had air conditioning
Firefighters,police officers,military personnel,construction workers,and people who work around chemicals and radiation(pun intended)could all use protection.And frankly from the game power armor seems pretty hard to fail.
